*Max's POV/ 2 weeks after the dance*
Scrolling through the school's website, I notice that I have a friend request. Clicking on the notification, I read the name out loud, Jexica. Reading her profile, I can see that she loves making friends, rainbows, and ponies. Maybe she seems too good to be true but it seems like she'll fit into our friend group, save for Riley. Might as well send her a private message. I do just that and shut my computer.
My phone dings, signaling to me that I got a text:

And it just so happens to be Ophelia Jackson, my best friend from Philadelphia. Once I finish texting her, I get ready for the day. :

Now that I'm ready, I head to the kitchen to make breakfast. Maya, Lucas, and Farkle are already there.

"Of course, Bubba." Before the conversation can continue, there is a knock at the door. I wonder who that could be? My mom walks over to the door, opening it to reveal someone I haven't seen since I came back to New York.
