"Hey! You alive?" Someone practically shouted at me as I feel a hand slap my cheeks. I slightly opened my eyes and I saw a guy staring at me. He, of course, noticed my eye movement for he said:
"Hmm, I thought so" Thought what? Is this the one who saved me? As he said those words, I feel like he is holding a chuckle. He looks pretty weak for someone who killed a wolf though. He is sitting in a squat manner beside my laid in the ground body. Even though I have my eyes narrowly opened, I could tell that he is thin. He has brown hair and a pale-ish skin. He looks someone my age. Since I have tons of question right now, its pretty fine to not act dead to someone like this. Why was I acting dead? You never know if this guy actually turned out to be a bandit or something.
Upon fully opening my eyes, I was met by his grin as if he is welcoming me to this world. I don't know why I didn't notice earlier but now I see that he do has a bow and a bag of arrow clinging on his body. He is wearing this white long sleeved shirt and a trouser going along with a pair of boots. I sit up as this guy was staring at me in a weirded out manner.
"Where am I?" was the first words I sent to him. Suddenly he bursted out laughing exaggeratedly and continued to say:
"Dude~, are you joking? Were you that shocked of that wolf attack that you don't even know where you are?? Perhaps you don't even know who you are" What? Of course I know who I am. Why would he laugh over someone who just asked where he is? "Oh man, I would have laughed so hard if you died without even getting a scratch from that wolf"
He is literally snorting as he talked. I know its pretty dumb to die out of shock from a wolf but why would you laugh. Judging from those words, I could assume this guy is prideful or someone that makes tons of things into something less important to talk about, basically avoiding that issue and just laughing it off, that may seem rude and would lead people to hate you. He probably realised I was serious when he stopped laughing.
"You really don't know huh? We're in the eastern forest from city. The reason I thought you were kidding is because this city is pretty popular and the surrounding areas are quite well known too. There are tons of dungeons around here luring in tons of parties looking for treasures and this forest is basically a hunting spot" Dungeons? Parties? Am I back in the medieval ages or something? I'm not so sure of the conclusion I have in my head.
"What do you mean by parties? What is this city?" Out of curiosity I asked. The only thing parties could be that is related to dungeons would be a bunch of people but I wanna confirm it by asking. For a couple of seconds he was just staring at me and I understand what those actions meant. Breaking the silence, he chuckled and said:
"Did you hit your head or something? I didn't see you did" He laughed once again and you could really tell its exaggerated. I have a ton of things to worry about and this guy is the only one here to help me. "Ah sorry, at this rate I should already know you're serious" Good thing you know.
"By parties I meant people that group together to take quest and find treasures. They do those certain quest and be rewarded accordingly by the Guild Building where they got those quests. By the city, well, I could show you around" I guess its for certain that this is a totally different time age from the one I came from. To really confirm if this is another world I gotta ask something. "Man~, to think that there's still someone who hasn't caught on to this competitive environment"
"Do people here do powers or magic or something?" Its pretty weird to ask this, not that I'm not weird to this guy but its the same thing around. This answer should satisfy my question in mind but I already had it coming, he laughed.
"I always liked to make jokes and laugh at them and you did me a whole lot but I already know you're not kidding so.." Oh, you think so? To laugh at your own jokes, does that mean you make jokes that other people don't find to be funny and only you would laugh about it? How can he even confirm that I really am serious though? But I guess this makes it a lot easier and I shouldn't complain. "I prefer to call it spells and yes people here do those things, in fact, I think its pretty common knowledge to at least learn a single spell or two"
We're not on the same era and world huh? Then I really did die back there and got reincarnated here? Its basically those popular anime genre I heard about where people die and go to other worlds. I don't really know much about it but I think people wanted this to happen to them and for me, its a pain in the ass.
"I can't believe I actually met a guy, who doesnt know Irisu Capital, doesnt know the area around it, doesnt know about parties and quest and most of all doesnt know about spells, it should go without saying that you don't even know a single spell" He talks like he's some sort of elder being telling the newbies about things. Except its true that I'm a newbie here. Irisu Capital? This should be the name of the city right?"Well? Got any more questions?"
"Are you in a hurry?" I don't really have anything to say anymore so you could pretty much leave.
"No, not really, I'm just gonna bring this wolf and give it to the merchant asking for it. Not really sure if he would be satisfied though. This kind of wolf is pretty small" Earlier I thought it was already an adult but if you look at it again, it does look small, a teen probably.
"Wait, did you actually just killed that wolf because someone asked you to? If someone didn't, would you just let me be killed?" This guy could have let me be eaten if no one ordered a dead wolf.
"What kind of silly question is that? Of course I won't let you die" How kind of you. "But, if no one wanted this wolf, I wouldn't be in this hunting ground, means you would probably be crooked unless some other person saved you" I guess thats true. Should I be thankful about this? He stood up, put a cheeky smile on and offered me a hand. I accepted and got up from my ass. Now we are both standing and I could see that he is pretty short for a guy that seems my age. I forgot to ask about that and another thing. He directed his gaze onto to the wolf, moved towards it and just examined it like he can see things I can't.
"What's your name?" Since we started talking, we never got to exchange names so I might just as well initiate that topic. He probably shrugged his thought about the wolf off and looked at me. For some reason, he cheekily smiled and said:
"Satoshi Fukube"
Does he like his name that much cause the way he smile says so. Or is it because he is so happy to meet a new person?
"Call me Satoshi, and you are?" We just met and he already wants me to call him by his first name?
"Houtarou Oreki" I dont know why but I said my name in a cheery voice. Probably because he said his in a delighted tone and to compensate, I did the same.
"Cool, I'll call you Houtarou" I don't really care but he basically made us 'close'. Other than my family, no outsider called me by my first name. "There's nothing wrong with that right? Houtarou~" He said while wearing the same smile he's been doing. So I guess, our world aren't much different since I feel like he knows the way we do back in my life, that or he can read my mind. He did say people should know even just a single spell, so probably he knows how to read minds.
"Yeah yeah" Come to think of it, we have the same language. I guess there's a chance that this world is still Earth with the same countries but Spells and Quests things are added. Or out of all the possible dimensions, I ended up on a world where all the people's native language is japanese.
"So, I'm gonna head back now" I didnt even notice but the wolf is already inside a net and is on a small cart. Where did he even get this things?"Where will you go?" I have nowhere to go except for that city so I go there then.
"I'll come with you" He only smug at my answer.

Based on the animes I watched, people would only call each other by their first name if they are close enough, so I was making a reference to that.
Also about the new member I talked about, I'm not so sure if she stayed further in the classics club. I stopped reading the light novel cause I got more things to do like writing this freaking fanfic. So about her, maybe I won't add her here so....thats all
