Monday-

Ugh. Another day of teasing and torture.

And just to make matters worse, we moved seats in all of my classes. So now I either sit by Avada or Chelsea in every single class. Its horrible.

With Avada its just awkward.

And with Chelsea... well, you can guess how that's gonna turn out.

Me and Paisley are walking down the halls to our last class. Sadly she has to leave me because we have different classes.

My destination is a little bit farther down the hall but I stop in my tracks when I see Chelsea and her snob squad, strutting around like they own the place -ok so technically they do but still..-

"Hey Codie." she says, in her usual snobby tone that she only uses when talking to me.

"Hey brat" I mutter so that no one can hear.

"Codie, I was thinking.."

"That cant be good." I said sarcastically before she could finish her sentence.

She glared at me and continued.

"I was thinking about how you and that girl... oh, what was her name.. Avada. Yeah I've noticed that you two haven't been seen together for a while now. Did something... happen between you?"

At the mention of Avada's name something snapped in my head and in my heart. Probably the whole loyalty thing that comes with being a wolf.

"Dont you dare speak her name! You arent worthy enough to bring her up in a topic, that pains me and her. And you know exactly what happened. Or was I just imagining you making her cry ten minutes before she broke up with me?!" I snarled

"oh ho-ho. Being protective of your little girl friend huh Codie? Or should I say... Codie-Wodie?"

My face heated up and I couldn't control my anger and embarrassment. That was the name Avada would always call me when we were messing around and I would turn into a wolf. She treated me like a pet and it was like a game we played. She promised not to tell anyone about it.

I could feel my teeth starting to get sharper and my ears shrinking. Before anyone saw me, I pulled on my hood. I glared at Chelsea, walked right up to her and slapped her.

Then I ran.

I ran as fast as I could through the halls, and off the school property, transforming as I did so. My bones stretched and my senses sharpened and when I finally stopped to catch my breath, I was a wolf again. With shimmering light grey fur and sharp cyan eyes.

I sat down to calm myself and my paw was stinging from the impact of hitting Chelsea. I look around and find myself on a hill that overlooks the school's football field.

I'm so dead. I told myself. I don't live with my parents, I live with my big brother. He doesn't really care what I do at school or at home as long as I'm being safe. But my teacher Mr. Bogg is the one who will kill me...

He's my last period teacher and is extremely strict. It doesn't help that I'm late for his class almost every day.

I keep looking around and suddenly my eyes catch a glimpse of a gorgeous black she-wolf on the other side of the field.

She looks like she's in pain, but still strides confidently to the shelter of the trees that are about a mile away from where I'm sitting.

I decide to follow her. If there is any danger, Frostbite will show up and warn me.

The other wolf swerves around the trees and places her paws.delicately. I do the same, trying to be as quiet as possible.

However, I'm so lucky that a stick just decides to magically appear under my paw.

*CRACK*

Damn. The black wolf's ears perk up. She knows I'm here. As fast as I can, I run behind a wide tree and take my human form once again.

I'm as still as the tree itself. I'm not even breathing.

I hear the black wolf come closer, my heart beats faster and I can feel myself starting to sweat from the effort of not moving. To me, staying still is like torture. I want to move. I need to move.

I make only my head transform so I can use my wolf's sense of smell and hearing.

To my relief, the black wolf is walking away. I turn fully into my wolf form and continue the "hunt".

Finally, after a few more minutes of walking, the black she-wolf stops by a large pond in the middle of the woods. She looks around a few times, luckily she doesnt see me because I'm hiding in a nearby bush.

As the wolf faces the pond again, I see her front legs shorten, and her hind legs lengthen. Her ears shrink and then reappear on the sides of her head. Her fur slowly dissapears to be replaced by long flowing black hair. Strangely familiar black hair.

To my horror, when the girl turns around, I see.......
