Nagising ako sa vibration ng aking cellphone, i was half awake when i checked what was it all about. Mabagal kong binasa ang mga message ng aking mga kaibigan sa group chat.

“ Beach? ” napakunot ako ng noo, it's weeks before the start of our classes, and I can proudly say I'm a freshman.

I couldn't make up my mind because of the consequences if I go to the beach, it's quite near here.

My attention was diverted by the knock on my door, It was my brother for sure.

“ Andito mga kaibigan mo. ”

Shemay naman, bagong gising ako at madumi tignan tsaka sila mang susundo? I had no choice but to hurriedly changed my clothes into a blue one piece, but with a short and see-through shirt on top of it. Kinuha ko na rin ang shades ko and i packed for my clothes and my towel.

I got out of my room and saw them patiently eating, gagaling.

“ Oh! she's here, tara na! ” pag- aaya ni Margo.

“ Taena ka, palibhasa tapos ka na kumain kaya anlakas mo makapag-aya.” napasapok naman ako sa aking noo, 'tong si Chanel talaga walang hiya.

“ Tara na nga, nawalan ako ng gana. Thank you mommy Lain for the food!” she said and my mother just smiled back at her, she then gave me a light kiss on the forehead and told me to take care of myself.

Roadtrip does bring everyone together, we're all in Katie's car and we're jamming to different songs as we go through the path towards UEP's white beach.

Napatagal din bago ako makapunta dito, and oh boy. The resort is full with people, my social anxiety says hi.

Nang makarating kami sa cottage ay sinalubong kami ni Magnum na mistulang nag aayos ng mga pagkain, i missed the smell of the beach and how the air runs through my hair.

Nagtungo na kami papuntang comfort room at isa-isang hinubad ang mga damit na nakapa-ibabaw sa aming swimsuits, i did not bother to remove my shorts and as expected a lot of people are staring at us, here in  Northern Samar expect the people be more conservative than the people in Manila.

I was bothered by the stares they give of to us, i decided to eat a slice of watermelon first. The girls are in the beach already, mga basa na.

“ Aren't you going to join them?  ” Magnum asked.

“ Nah, enjoy ko muna 'tong mga pagkain besides they're getting all the attention and stares of the guysI don't want to join them. ” i said as i took a bite in my food.

“ Hey, not all boys are the same, you know that naman diba? Tsaka wala namang mali sa mga suot nila they're just not that they don't get to see pretty ladies in swimsuits that often. ” he smirked

Binatukan ko siya sa ulo upang mawala ang kanyang ngiti, tarantado 'to.

“ What did I do? ” naka pout pa ito. Inirapan ko nalang siya at kumuha uli ng slice.

“ Can you pass me the ice cream? sayang naman eh baka matunaw lang.”

“ Bobo ng mga kaibigan natin nag dadala ng ice cream kala mo may freezer dito. ”he mocked them. well technically Felecia she's the one who brought it.

“ Bobo mo rin, buti nga may ice cream eh. ” I scooped for myself and for him, we enjoyed the food.

“ I'll be joining them, bantay ka rito ah! ” i said as i run towards the girls, isa-isa nila akong tinapunan ng tubig at binuhat papuntang malalim.

“ Ah! mga gago! 'di pa ako marunong lumangoy sa malalim! ” i shaked my body to get them off me pero wala akong magawa, binitawan naman nila ako and in my shock hanggang leeg ko lang.

“ Tanda mo na 'di ka pa rin marunong lumangoy, kaya mong umahon sa pagkalunod sa kalungkutan pero rito sa dagat hindi. ” nang-aasar na ani ni Chanel.

“ I didn't know I did do that. ” the volume of my voice lessens as i have come to my realizations.

“ Ano? ” she replied.

“ I didn't know na naka-ahon na pala ako sa pagkalunod kay kalungkutan..” i whispered to myself.

“ Since when did we deserve this kind of view? ” napatingin ako sa gawi nila Magnum at kanyang mga kaibigan, i can daresay they really do have the body that girls could go crazy for. Lahat sila naka beach shorts lang.

“ Here's the plan we'll form a horizontal line and sabay-sabay tayong aahon. okay? ” sabi ni malanding Chanel.

“ Pa'no naman na'tin makukuha ang atensyon nila? ” Clueless Katie asked.

“ Dimwit. Kanina pa kaya tayo nila tinitignan! ” Chanel replied.

“ At nagsama na naman ang mga malalandi, Artashia 'diba ikaw lagi ang pasimuno sa ganyan? Sali ka na.” i cringed in what Felecia said.

“ Ah hehe, okay I'll join them if you join ” i smiled, alam ko naman na kasali talaga sila eh.

“ Okay na! i messaged Maggie to play a song with the speaker. ” Margo excitedly said.

Sa bilang nang tatlo ni Chanel ay umahon kami ng sabay-sabay, we were all in unison and we were all flexing our body. I fixed my hair as we got through out of the water and saw almost all of the audience staring.

Well, they wanted the attention of five couple of eyes but got 50 pairs. Should I call them attention seeker? i smiled with this thought in my head.

“ Are you guys model or something? " isa- isa kaming binatuhan ni Magnum ng tuwalya habang nakakunot ang noo, ang mga kaibigan naman niya ay tulala nakatitig do'n sa dalawa.

I wrapped myself with my towel and joined Felecia and Margo, Everyone was having fun i guess they were playing in the sand.

“ Kumusta naman ang mga may ka-ldr ditoo! ” napatawa ako sa sinabi ni Katie.

“ True, wala akong ka-ldr pero you guys should have fun, im sure your sweeties will understand and if he doesn't toxic shit in the house.” we all laughed, the fun continued till it was dark and very cold.
