I know I missed a class, Accounting and I probably will get a bit of flack for it too but at the moment I don't care. I make my way to Biology because that is where I am supposed to be, I enter the class and Mr Robinson is knee deep in an explanation. He sees me but makes no move nor gesture to reprimand me for it. He simply carries on with his lesson. I walk to my seat but there's someone sitting there, a blonde girl. There's an empty seat in the back left corner, near the window and I decide to sit there. Technically, there are no assigned seats in these classes so this doesn't really bother me. But...

Who is she?

As if she somehow heard my thoughts, she turns head around and looks directly at me. Her ocean blue eyes look as if they are judging me, it makes me self-conscious a little bit and I want to hide in my hoodie but she then smiles at me. She releases me from her gaze, I slowly sink in my seat and let out a breath as if I've been holding it in since I sat down. I lay my head on the desk and slowly I start to doze off... Maybe I didn't get enough sleep after all. My head is filled with blue eyes, mocking smiles and blonde hair.

What is her deal?

Someone bumps my desk and that effectively wakes me up. Mr Robinson is at his desk clearing it of whatever papers that are there. In the corner of my eye I spot blondie staring at me again as I get up. This immediately makes me freak out and I fish my phone out and stare at its black screen. My darkened reflection isn't showing anything off, meaning I don't have anything on my face that would or rather should make anyone stare. With my bag over my shoulder I head out to my next class which is supposed to be an free period since the teacher is sick and as a result didn't come in.

That's just what I need. I'll be able to sleep in that period.

I arrive and just like usual, my classmates are unwieldy even with the substitute teacher present. She looks like she couldn't care less; I wouldn't be surprised if a fire started in this class. I head to my usual seat, yet again it's near a window at the back. I sit and place my bag on my desk, pull out my phone and trusty earphones. A few seats ahead of me, I see the new girl casually speaking with a few of my classmates before I lay my head down and look out the window. The wind is blowing against the branches of the trees outside and some of the fallen leave are dancing about, rejoicing their freedom.

It must be pretty cold out there.

That scenery is blocked by someone. I look up and meet with blue eyes. New girl. She smiles kindly and says something but I hear none of it so I remove my earphones.

"Excuse me?" I ask.

She looks appreciative of the gesture.

She giggles "I said hey."

"Oh, sorry. Hello, you're new here right?" I ask as if that wasn't obvious enough.

"Yeah I am, just moved here from just out of town." she laughs.

I could tell that much. She doesn't look like anyone from around here... But then again, what do I know about anyone here anyway? I barely get out for anything.

"You were sitting in my seat in our previous class." I say.

She pulls a chair from a nearby empty desk and takes a seat in front of my desk, facing me with that smile of hers. I couldn't help but keep my eyes on her pink lips... They are oddly distracting.

"Sorry about that, I was just told about it..." she trails, her eyes look to me once again but I avoid looking at them. I can't.

"My name is Julia by the way." she adds after a beat.

I look at her, searching her eyes.

"Lawrence." I say.

That brings a smile to her lips, her full pink lips.
