I finished reading my letter and looked up at harry, who was still reading his letter. Once he had read the whole thing, he looked back at me, eyes wide with shock. I looked over and saw that hagrid was smiling down at us excitedly. I decided to read loud, think it would be the same as Harry's.
"One standard size 2 pewter cauldron, full set of books, wand, robes, blah blah blah, owl or cat or ferret or toad, blah blah blah blah blah." Harry stopped walking and turned to face me. "Wait, what do you mean ferret? It really says that? Are you sure?" I frowned and said "yeah, why?" I showed him where it said that on the list and harry addressed Hagrid.
"Why does hers say she can get a ferret but I cant? I want a ferret!" I raised my eyebrow at him and said "harry, you hate ferrets. You have since we were 4 when Dudley-" my brother cut me off. " OK OK! you dont need to tell all of London what happened. I know I hate ferrets but still, it's not fair that you have that choice and I dont! Why does everyone like you more than me? You're not any different than me! YOU. ARENT. SPECIAL!"
I glared at him and hagrid must've realized I was really mad because he said "dont listen to 'im cass, hes jus mad, that's all. Come on. Let's get your supplies now! Oh this is an excitin time. Yer first year at Hogwarts!" "Hagrid," harry said "can we find all this in London?" Before Hagrid could answer I rolled my eyes and said "of course we can, dipshit." The huge man looked confused.
"Its a muggle swear, hagrid." He just nodded.
Before harry and I had a chance to say anything else, hagrid led us into a bar called 'the leakey cauldron' and through to where the bartender was chatting up a pretty woman. He spotted Hagrid and shouted "Hagrid, how nice to see you! The usual I presume?" The large man shook his head and said "not today, I'm actually accompanying young harry and Cassandra here, to get their things for Hogwarts." At this time the pub went
Dead silent before aripting into complete and utter chaos.
We couldn't understand much, but I caught a few words and sentences. "Potters!" "Cassandra, you're an inspiration!" "Harry, how did you do it?" I got mad very quickly and shouted "will you all just shut it, please! Honestly, it's our first day I the wizarding world and you think it's a good Idea to shout and crowd us and bombard us with ridikilus (hehe) questions? You're all a bunch of arrogant buggers!" The pub went dead quiet. I let out a huff "well that's much better. Alright, hagrid could we get going now?" The large man nodded and led us through the crowd.
Hagrid tapped the wall with his pink umbrella and It shifted into a doorway.
"Harry, Cassandra, welcome to diagon alley."
