Chapter 3

Lucy's POV
My mom came home and she had tears streaming down her face, she was pale she looked scared and worried. As she sets down her stuff she looks me dead in the eye and says " grandma was in a car accident." She says nothing more I look at her stunned. "W-what do you mean, will she be okay" I managed to say with tears building up in my eyes. "I talked to the doctors, they umm they said the impact that hit her head was extremely bad and that she might not make it and if she were too live she wouldn't remember much." By now my mom was bawling on the floor.

By the end if the night my mom and I were crying together on the couch, talking about everything. We had fallen asleep on the couch her on one end and me on the other.

The next day my mom had let me sleep in and called me in for school and she had called into work. When I woke up I heard her on the phone with someone, so I kept my eyes shut and listened.
"No, this can't be happening. She can't..." within seconds she was sobbing.
I decide to open my eyes and walk over to her. "Mom what's happening?" When she opens her mouth to speak more tears start forming in her eyes. She finally says " your grandmother isn't doing to well they've done all they can." I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out so I shut my mouth. "We're going to visit the hospital today. She is still unconscious but will hopefully begin to wake up for our g-good-byes." I pull my mom into a hug. "Everything going to be okay mom, you know that right?" She pulls me tighter and says," you know you've always been my rock, that's part of what makes you so special. Whenever anything goes bad you do everything you can to stay strong. You are truly amazing and I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world. Now go pack your stuff, we need to head there soon."

I go up to my room and as I'm packing I hear my phone go off. I walk over to my phone and I have 16 new notifications;
Where are you??
Why didn't you tell me you were going to be gone?
Hello, are you ignoring me?
Answer me!!
Your probably sleeping, I'll leave you alone.

I decide to text them when I get in the car.
To Lili
My grandmother was in a car accident so that's why I'm not there. Would you please tell Bella and Jasper too please I really don't feel like texting. I just want to spend time with my grandma cause her chance of living isn't too good.

My mom opened the driver side door and got in and sat down. When she got in she looked out the window, she took a deep breath and started the car. The car ride felt like forever it just kept dragging on and on. The whole car ride we didn't say one word. We get out of the car and make our way inside, at the front desk sits a your lady probably in her mid 20's. When we get to the desk she looks up at us and says "what can I help you with dear?" I look at my mother and I knew even just saying grandmas name would be painful for her so I look at the lady and say "We are looking for Pear Renalds." She looks up at me with sorrow in her eyes "she's in room 314."

My mom and I start heading up to room 314, we knock on the door and walk inside. Sitting there was a conscious old lady who I am proud to say is my grandmother. She was wide awake and sitting there as though nothing happened. My mom ran to her and threw her arms around her. My grandmother looked confused. She opened her mouth stunned and she said "Excuse me but who are you?" My mom pulled away I saw tears building up in her eyes. "What w-what do you mean I'm your daughter, Diana Renalds and this is your grand-daughter Lucy Renalds." My mom managed to get that out before tears started streaming down her face. "I'm sorry dear but I don't remember you but that just means I get to get to know you all over again. You can tell me what I used to do and what I liked and what we did over the years but for now we need to take baby steps." I could tell that my mom was just happy that she was alive and was willing to do anything to keep their tight bond they've always had.

My mom had decided that she was going to stay with my grandma tonight. She had asked me if I wanted to stay there with or if I wanted to go home. I decided I wanted to go home so she let me take the car and said she would just take a cab home. So on the drive home I thought about today and how we were lucky that she survived and how much I would have really missed her.

I get home and sit on the couch and kick up my feet and grab the remote. I flip through the channels for awhile until I come a crossed the show modern family which is actually really funny. I watched that for awhile until I was almost asleep when suddenly there was a knock on the door. I get up and walk to the door, when I open it Jasper is standing there. "Hey-y-y" he said really quite with sorrow in his voice. "Hi" I said really quiet "So do you want to come in?" I asked "Umm yes." So I lead the way towards my couch and lay down, he sits right beside me. He looks at me "So how's it going?" I looked in to his beautiful eyes and my eyes started to tear up. I opened my mouth but then closed it. Nothing was going to come out so why even try.

Jasper's POV
When I looked into Lucy's eyes I could just see the sadness and I couldn't bare it, I scooped her in my arms and held her tight I laid right next to her and her head was on my shoulder. We laid there for awhile and she just cried and cried but I didn't let her go, I just held her tight.

I don't know how long we were like that for but she had stopped crying. I had gotten up and went to get my stuff on when I here her say "Please don't go." I turned around and I was face to face with Lucy. She looked scared and tired. I took off my shoes and picked her up and went to the staircase I slowly walked up them. I picked the one that looked the most like a teenage girls room and went in there , turned in the light and laid her down. I took off my jacket and turned off the light and laid right next to her I grabbed her blanket and covered her. I whispered I. Her war good night princess and kissed her on her cheek and I saw a smile grow on her face and I laid next to her. She put her head on my chest and my and was over her heart and it was the most amazing thing to feel her heart beat and we laid there until we both had fallen asleep.
