Passion That Cannot Hide

Part 5

Joseph picked her up while her friends tried to revive her. When she came Esther looked around and wondered why they were gathered around her.

"What happened?"

"Esther, you fainted." One of her friend said.

"Yes and Mr. Swanson caught you before you hit the floor."

She felt her cheeks turn red in embarrassment.

"Miss Cuttingham, you shouldn't feel embarrassed by something like this. You had no way of knowing."

Esther was more embarrassed by what made her faint than the actual reaction.

"Well, I better be getting going." 

She quickly hurried out and her friends followed after her, also wondering why she did that. Joseph smiled and light shook his head, his plan was working perfectly.

10 minutes later...

Esther was very quiet while she and her friends were heading home.

"Esther, why is it that you're so quiet?" 

"Yeah, why?"

She stopped while and gave them a huge smile.

"Guys, I think Mr. Swanson LIKES ME!"

Both of their mouths dropped open.

"I'm serious! Look at what he wrote."

She went into her backpack and showed them the message he'd written on her assignment.

Both girls couldn't believe it.

"Wow Esther..."

"I never thought he would want to come to my home though."

They started to wonder if he really was fond of her LIKE THAT.

"What if he isn't into you like how you think?"

"Yeah, like maybe he just wants to meet you parents and chat."

Realization started to sink in as she became sad. Maybe they were right after his offer.

The girls had reached Esther's home and they all waved bye while he walked in.

Esther saw their was a message on her answering machine and checked it.

Hello Miser and Misses Cuttingham, this is Mr. Joseph Swanson who teaches at the college and in the course of religion and spirituality which Esther is taking. I am calling to ask if I can come for dinner at your home sometime tomorrow. Give me a call back when you have a moment.

Esther started to scream and her parents came from the backyard after having prepared it for Winter. She started to blush and quickly ran to her room, leaving her parents baffled.

The next day...

Esther went to class, only this time she was wearing something she normally wouldn't. When she walked into the class everyone oohed and complimented her. She was wearing a strapless red dress and her hair was shining brightly. When Joseph saw this he smiled, she was doing exactly as he'd suspected. 

After he took off her coat, Esther was amaze seeing how handsome and stunning he looked wearing a pale green v-neck shirt and dark jeans. He smirked seeing her gaze and winked at her, which caught her off guard. Despite not knowing if he was coming for dinner she wanted to entice them a little bit. 

Throughout the class their were discussions on Reiki and meditations and how meditating on the Bible and fasting went hand-in-hand. Esther imagined that she and Mr. Swanson were in Japan together. She was making some ceremonial tea and he came and sat down beside her. After they had their ceremony, they began to drink the tea and they exchanged smiles. He took her in his arms and started to kiss her.

"Miss Cuttingham, are you all right?" Joseph asked.

She realized she hadn't paid attention and class was now over.

"Oh, my apologizes Mr. Swanson it won't happen again."

She got up and started to leave.

"See you tonight Esther."

She stopped walking and smiled.
