Two days later Chloe was strolling through town on a girly shopping trip with Kennedy. It was actually impossible to find anything, her usual size didn't fit and she didn't want to get pregnancy clothes beause it wasn't worth it for 2 weeks. Kennedy had a similar problem, though she wasn't quite the same size yet. Mark and Gary were off working, though Gary had only let her go reluctantly. ("if anything happens, you need anything, I'll leave my phone on okay? and call me straight away alright?"). They were strolling around TopShop, just looking, there was no way they'd find anything. Chloe saw a group of girls out of the corner of her eye, it looked like they were pointing at them. she realized Kennedy was frowning at them as they walked towards them. "Hey you Chloe?" she turned around. "Err yeah... why?" the girls sniggered. They looked like trouble. "You Gary Barlow's girlfriend?" - "finacée actually..." - "Yeah whatever." Charming! "You're kinda fat." Oh god, not this type! Most fans were really lovely, but there was just this little group of people, Gary had said that some spelt trouble. "Yeah I am kinda expecting a baby you know." The girl at the fron who'd been talking to me sneered. "yeah they all say that." Chloe looked at them in disbelief.
She felt Kennedy's hand on her arm. She didn't know why they hadn't said anything to her. Maybe they didn't recognize her? She did a good job of staying out of the papers. "he doesn't deserve someone like you!" right. that was enough. Chloe tried not to show how upset she was. "C'mon Chloe" Kennedy said quietly "c'mon, they're not worth your time!" Chloe didn't move, she couldn't. These girls made her feel physically sick. "Chloe, c'mon!" Kennedy tugged at her arm gently and pulled her away. "Come on Chloe, they're not worth it." She was actually gonna be sick. Though that may be the baby. "Yeah that's right, tirn and run away!" they called after them. Kennedy spun round and glared at them. Chloe was familiar with her killer look. but they just laughed it off. She walked her as far away from TopShop as possible. She REALLY needed a toilet. "Hey, you alright?" she looked up as she heard Gary and picked up pace, semi-jogging towards him.
"Hey what's wrong?" he asked as he held her tight. She didn't wanna let go. Kennedy was stood next to them looking round if she could see Mark. "Chloe, what's wrong what happened?" the answer came without her saying a thing. "Hey Chloe! Burger King's in the other direction!" Gary sighed. "Sorry bout them" he said spinning round and glaring at the girls. They immediately shut up. "Call yourself fans?!" he shouted at them. "If you were you'd respect her! And you'd respect my choice!" They stood there and stared at him. "GO!!!" he shouted so loud it made Chloe jump. They practically ran off. He turned back to her and held her by the waist. "What did they say?" "they said I was fat." He sighed loudly. "Hey you're not. you're pregnant, that doesn't count. You're beautiful" she nodded "they said I didn't deserve you." - "Bullshit" he said quietly "how would they know? They're just jealous." she nodded again. tears were threatening to fall. "c'mon let's get you home." he said quietly and lead her towards where she assumed he'd parked the car. "What's wrong?" Mark, who was coming towards them, asked. "There's err... been a bit of trouble. Kennedy can explain." Gary said as he held the passenger door open for Chloe and held onto her arm so she didn't loose her balance. "you okay?" mark asked her. She nodded. "Mark, I'd better get her home" Gary said climbing into the car. "I'll see you." he slipped the keys into ignition. Chloe bit her lip trying not to cry. Why was she letting this get at her? They were just jealous!
They spent the the journey home in silence, Gary had his hand on ger thigh and was stroking her gently with his thumb. She still felt sick and desperate for the toilet. She was sick of being pregnant. 15 days. She didn't know if she was more scared or excited. They pulled up on the drive and she got out and practically ran towards the door. "Hey slow down, we don't want any accidents!" Gary said jogging after her. He was fit when he was running. "Gary I need the loo desperatley!" He pushed past her and unlocked the door and she stormed towards the bathroom. Relief! she suddenly tensed up as she felt a huge pain in her stomache. Oh god no! It was much too early! "aaah! GARY!" she screamed the house down. she immediately heard someone rattle at the door. why had she locked it? Gary threw himself against it a couple of times before it swung open. "Babe what's wrong? What's happened? You okay? What is it? Is it the baby? Oh god Chloe, I'll get an ambulance!" she took a couple of deep breaths before shaking her head. "No, no I'm okay, false alarm..." Gary sighed. "God Chloe, you had me scared there love!" he said sort of giggling nervously. "I'm okay" she said quietly. "C'mon, lie down on the sofa, I'll run you a bath." She frowned "since when have you been so kind?" he raised an eyebrow. "I'm not totally useless as a boyfriend you know
