"Number Five! Where have you been?"
I hear as I walk through the front entrance of the academy. I look to the right and see Pogo, our butler ape, waiting for my response with his signature scowl plastered on his face.
"You are not allowed outside the premises without being permitted."
"I'm sorry Pogo." I say internally rolling my eyes, "it won't happen again."
"Yes it will."
"Grace, kindly lead Number Five to his room."
"I can go to my room myself." I say walking away without waiting for mom.
I go shower and change into my pajamas. I hear my siblings downstairs wishing a goodnight to father but it's useless to join them. He's always too busy for us.
I lay down on my bed, Y/n immediately coming to my mind. I'm glad she wasn't born on October 1st. That would've been a disaster.
I'm glad I met her, she's fun to hang out with. She has a weird aura to her though. She seems different from anyone I've ever met.
"Y/n" her names sounds nice rolling off my tongue. It's a really pretty name.
"Y/n Hargreaves."
WOAH
What the hell am I thinking?
"Who's this y/n girl that you keep talking about?"
I jolt up from my bed to see Ben leaning on my door frame.
"What are you doing here?" My irritation seeping through the sentence.
"Just was wondering why you didn't come say goodnight to dad with us."
"Why would I? It's not like he'd say it back. Or at the very least acknowledge us."
"You're not wrong. But he's still our dad, Five."
"Yea, whatever."
"So. You interested in a girl?" He smirks at me.
"What's this talk about a girl?" Diego pops in.
"A girl? Does someone have a crush?" Klaus chimes.
"Where do you all keep coming from?" I groan. "No, I don't have a crush on anybody. I just made a friend."
"So that's who you've been going to Griddy's with." Klaus cackles.
"Are you sure she's not more than a friend? You just called her Y/n Hargreaves." Ben mentions
"Ooooooouuuu Five has a girlfriend, Five has a girlfriend!" Klaus adds
"Wow, she must be special to be worth sneaking out for." Diego says
"She's not my girlfriend! Everybody get out!!" I shout exasperated.
"Fine." Diego leaves defensively
"Jeez, you're such a party-pooper." Klaus leaves deflated
"Alright. Goodnight bro." Ben leaves- well, Ben just leaves.
"They're such dumbasses." Why would I have a crush on some girl? I don't have the time nor the energy for that.

"Number Five, it's time to wake up. You don't want to be late for breakfast, do you?" Mom says in a singsong voice.
"Thanks mom."
I hop off my bed and change into my uniform.
I meet the others downstairs and we walk into the dining room standing behind our respective seats, waiting for dad.
When dad comes and sits down, we follow suit.
"Today, we are going to be dining on eggs benedict, an English delicacy."
