Multiple POVs-~For context, you're a ghost pretending to he Violet's neighbor, kinda like how Tate did.~
Violet's POV-
I slam the door and turn around. The neighbor girl is in my room now.
"The house looks really nice." She says with a smile and puts her arms behind her back. "It really looks different."
"You've been here before?" I ask her. Her face goes blank.
"Um, I came to visit the people that lived here before you. I became pretty close with them." She says and then puts hand on the back of her neck.
"Really? Can you tell me a bit about them... but only if you want, I just heard they died here and wanted to know a little about it." I ask, walking closer to (Y/N) and then sitting down onto my bed. She sits down next to me.
"They were a really nice gay couple, but they were most definitely had some relationship problems. In fact, I think they were looking to sell the house. I don't understand what happened..." (Y/N) begins to cry, but quickly wipes away her tears. "I'm sorry I'm crying, I just get really attached to some people and they were two really nice fellows."
"No, no it's fine." I tell her and put my arm around her shoulder. "It doesn't bother me." She sniffles a few more times and looks up at me.
"So why'd you guys move hear anyways?" She asks me.
"Oh, yeah. My mom had this brutal miscarriage and then my dad cheated on her with one of his students." I tell her rolling my eyes. "My dad's really trying make things right with us, so he wanted to 'start over,' and now we're here."
"Oh my God, that's terrible." She tells me, I begin nodding in agreement. "I mean, especially after your mom went through that miscarriage."
"I know right!" I exclaim. I begin to think about my dad. I don't even know what to think of him anymore, or if I should believe anything he says. He's a lying asshole and the only reason we're here, across the country is because of him. Then again, maybe moving isn't that bad. We have a nice house, and (Y/N) seems pretty cool.
Her smile makes me smile which isn't something anyone can do, and she seems trustworthy.
Your POV-
My eyes scan Violet's room, I can't help but think about different it is. When I slept in the room, even the color of the walls was different. I don't mind it, but for some reason, I just wish it was my room again, but that can never happen. My face turns to look back at Violet.
"Are you okay?" She asks me.
"Yeah, I'm just looking around!" I smile again and then begin to run my fingers through my hair. "You're room looks really cool."
"Thanks." She replies, a grin appears onto her face. I watch Violet begin to turn red at the face. I begin to laugh. "What?"
"You're turning red." I tell her and stop myself from laughing anymore. Her eyes widen and her eyebrows go up. "It's okay, I turn red easily as well." I try to calm her down because I feel bad for embarrassing her, then again I was only complimenting her room. The thought of it makes the smile on my face even bigger and brighter. Suddenly the smile on my face disappears.
"I-I need to go..." I tell her and quickly get up.
"What? Why?" She asks.
"Um... my mom wants me home." I lie to her again. She nods.
"Oh, okay." There's a pause. "I mean, if you wanna come over tomorrow you can!" I begin to nod.
"Yeah of course!" I tell her and begin rushing out of the door. I look back and see Violet watch me run away. I turn the corner and begin down the stairs, quickly making myself invisible for only the other ghosts to see.
I walk down the rest of the stairs and turn, walking straight past the kitchen and over to the basement door. I walk down the basement stairs.
"Tate!" I call out. Suddenly, Tate appears before me with a grin on his face.
"Did you talk to her?" He asks.
"Yeah, she wants me to come over tomorrow." I tell him smiling and blushing a bit.
"Well you can't go because tomorrow is my appointment and that's when I am gonna talk to her." He walks closer to me. "We said we were gonna work together so we could both be friends with her."
"Well, you wanna be more than friends with her." I shout and cross my arms.
"Well so do you. I can just tell." There's a long pause. "Listen, I know you aren't very fond of me, but right now it's for Violet. This is the first time we've seen someone our age in a long time and this girl really needs our help."
"I don't think you're someone people should come to when they need help " I tell him, rolling my eyes. He groans.
"(Y/N), listen, you can hang out with her tomorrow, but you need to wait until I'm done." I nod slowly and turn around.
"I'll talk to you later, but I'm done for now." I tell him, sprinting back up the basement stairs.
I can't help but keep thinking about Violet. Her face, her kindness, her heart. I don't wanna have to share her with Tate, or lose her.
