Beyond

Chapter 2

I opened the door nervously, my hands were sweating and they were probably shaking too. Once I saw who it was, I could feel a smile creep on my face. I noticed he smiled back. All I could focus on was his beautiful hazel eyes staring back at me, the lighting made them turn almost a green color which made them even prettier. The way he tilted his head to the side when he looked at me made all the memorys come flooding back. My eyes were getting heavy and I could feel myself tearing up, I missed what we used to have so much! 

I quickly broke the silence. "Come in", I said, knowing that if I didn't the tears would start to make their way down my face. 

He didn't say anything, he just came in and looked around for a minute. He was looking around, I was looking at the sparkle in his eyes. The same one that was their 2 years ago, the same one that was their when he asked me out, the same one that was their when we first kissed, the same one that was their when I opened the door today, the same one that was their when I fell in love with him, and the same one that made him completly irristable to me.

By now I could feel myself blushing, I quickly snapped out of it before he would notice me. But I was to late, he was already giggling at me. I was so embarassed my cheeks were probably even more red now. 

"Sooo....", he said anxiously, I don't know what got into me but once agian a big smile slid across my face. That was the first thing I have heard him say sense he got here, I couldn't help but laugh at my self, causing him to laugh back at me. I didn't even care that he was laughing at me, just hearing him was enough to make my night. 

"How about we watch a movie", he suggested. 

"Sure", nothing can go wrong with a movie.

It was about half way through the movie, I was so bored, and I knew Austin had to be too. I looked away from the screen and stared at him. He was so beautiful, I missed what we had so much, I hope he missed me as much I miss him. And that when I could feel the tears start to roll down my cheeks. 

I tried to keep the tears in but it didn't work. I used my sleeve to try to wipe them away before he saw me. But when I looked up, he was already looking down at me. 

"Dont cry, beautiful", he said when he saw what I was doing, which only caused the tears to escape my eyes faster. 

It wasn't long before I felt his forehead up against mine, and his lips smashing into me. 

Then their they were, the sparks, the ones I used to always feel when we were all good and happy. Thats when I realized I wasn't over him. 

He pulled away, he stood up, grabbed his jacket and walked toward me. 

He came really close and whispered to me, "I never forgot Lexi, and I hope you didn't either". 

With that he walked to the door and opened it, glancing at me one more time before he finally walked out. Closing the door softly and carefully, just like his lips when they were placed on mine.

I didnt know what to think, I had so many emotions going through my head right now. All I could think to do was call Lauren and tell her everything. 

The phone rang for about 10 seconds before she picked up. I told her everything from the minute I got home from her house to the minute Austin walked out of the door. I was shocked by her answer. 

"Lexi ! Stop. Listen to yourself ! You aren't even dating, and you don't want to date him Lexi! You know he is just going to hurt you, I wouldn't even be suprised if this is just his way of getting back at you, leading you on and then dropping you like your nothing! Get over him Lexi" she was screaming in the phone at this point, I thought she would be happy for me, I kind of disipointed me that she wasn't. Even thought I wasn't expecting a good reaction from her, I didn't know she would be this harsh about it. 

I couldn't find the words to defend myself or him, mainly because I knew what she was saying was probably true. I needed to realise that he isn't the same person I fell in love with 2 years ago. Tears flooded my eyes. 

I hung up.
