Chapter 3

"She's not even bothered on what the doctor have been said to her. She's still happy and thankful even her parents were crying. She didn't even know what to do next, what to expect, and where her life ends."

She's at the mall looking around. She's just alone, buying things that she wants to have.

"Hwaaa nagugutom na ako."

She's tired of shopping and already hungry but a saleswoman approached her and talked about a new videoke model.

"Mas clear and mas maganda po ang microphone nito ma'am and meron din po itong online latest songs na pwede idownload."

("Mukha na ba akong nanay para pagbentahan ng videoke? Anyways let's try nga.)

"Pwede ma try ate girl? Isang kanta lang para ma test ko kung pretty ba yang videoke nyo."

"Sure ma'am feel free to use and to choose you're song."

Kakanta na sana sya nang bigla siyang tinawag ng isang babae, si Dahlia.

"Alice! Hi Alice!"

Alice was so confused that someone called her name. She don't even know Dahlia's name, or the existence of Dahlia at the university.

Lumapit si Dahlia kay Alice na parang close sila. Inakbayan nya and tinanong kung anong ginagawa nya sa mall.

"Ho? We-wait sino kaba? Sorry for asking ah pero hindi kita kilala."

"Umm sorry my bad. I'm Dahlia from section S. Friend ako ni Limuel and Jonathan. Pauwi na ako gusto mong sumabay?"

Since sa iisang village lang naman sila nakatira, sumabay na lang sya para walang maramdamang pagkagutom.

"Alam mo ang galing galing mo kumanta. Ikaw yung kumanta sa cafeteria right? Grabe may pinsan palang talented si Limuel?"

"Ano ka ba, wala yun hehehehe."

She's at her awkward situation. Talking to a woman she just met at the mall. They take train instead of bus. A different route for her but the most fastest way to go home.

"Umm sorry if I'll ask this to you Alice ah. Boyfriend mo ba si Limuel? I mean, the way he looked at you. I've never seen him like that in my entire life."

She's still confused about what Dahlia's intention to her. But to end this conversation is speaking the truth to this woman.

"No hinde ah. He's not my boyfriend. Kakameet ko nga lang sa kanya eh."

Dahlia sighs heavily. It feels like a torn at her mind got out.

"Sorry ulit ah, akala ko kasi may girlfriend na sya eh. Pero alam mo ba, never syang nag ka girlfriend ever in his life. Gwapo naman sya, matalino, talented pero, never syang nanligaw. Ang swerte swerte ng magiging syota nya."

She just smiled infront of her. She's tired of talking and ready to go to bed. It comes to the point that she almost fell at the train. Good thing, a man offered her a seat.

"Nako Alice ang putla mo. Okay ka lang? Ihahatid na kita sa bahay nyo. Pagod na pagod ka na ata eh."

"No don't worry kaya ko pa. It's just, hmm, ang dali ko lang talaga mapagod."

With her half awake voice. She's not coming to her senses and her eyes slowly closing up. She heard their station and suddenly awaken up a little bit.

"Let's go na Alice, were here."

She stand up and shake her head and start to walk with Dahlia. It's almost night and the lights at the street were up.
