Chapter 7

"She's part of a royal family she never wants to be. She remembered the 60th grand reunion, wearing a designer's gown and a custom heels. It was a night to remember, that she proved she can shine towards the darkness."

It was the day of the competition and she's at the back of the stage. To her room, praying and vocalizing before her turn to step up to the stage. She's nervous yet confident. No one can destroy her confidence.

"Alice, please be ready in 5 minutes. You're next in line."

The production staff said to her while eating a chocolate mochi to her bag. It is weird but mochi is her comfort food. It relaxes her and make her awake all time.

(tock, tock, tock)

"Come in"

It was Joao, with a letter and a bag of mochi. Alice come towards him and he gave his present to Alice. He didn't leave any words, he just gave the letter and the bag and closed the door. No eye contact or anything.

"(Sighs heavily) Thank you, Joao....."

She read the letter and sat at the sofa. It was in a great paper with cute animal cutouts at sides. It was written in a very beautiful penmanship, cursive and very graceful.

-Earlier the same day-
(6:00 AM)

"Gising gising gising!!! Tumayo ka na dyan at maligo na! Bilis!"

Sigaw ni Tita Rosita habang naghahalo ng mixture ng pancake. Nakahanda sa tabi nya ang pulang damit na kanyang susuotin, at sa baba nito ang mamahaling sapatos na ibinili ng kanyang lola na si Lady Margarita.

"Ang aga pa!"

"Eh mas mabuti nang maaga!"

"Eto na nga eh!"

A silly conversation at this morning. She do her thing when waking up the afternoon. Snow is very calm but the weather is cold and freezing. After she took a bath, she went downstairs to eat. She needs to be at the theater in 7:30 AM, and it's already 6:45 in the morning.

"Mama di pa sya nag make up oh. Pasaway ka talaga mas nauna pa kaming nakapag prepare."

"Doon nalang ako mag memakeup. Mahuhulas pa ako neto eh. By the way, sasama ba satin si Jonathan?"

"No he's not going with us. Susunod daw sya and ayaw nya daw makita yung last rehearsals nyo. Gusto nya daw sa mismong competition na."

"Tsk ang arte naman! Bat di pa sya sumabay?"

While eating a lot of pancakes. Justice for all people who eats a lot and turns into fats, while Alice eats a lot of food and just being digest in no time. Car is ready and they're ready to go. They all go now with heavy cold gears and Rosita is handling the maneuver.

But after they go, there's a woman running to catch them up. It was Claire, Alice mother, holding a bag of mochi. She didn't make it in time. She just become tired while no coats or jacket to protect herself from the cold.

They made it in time, just exactly before the last rehearsal starts. Everyone dressed up so nicely and elegant. All of the contestants family and friends, were watching. The competition will starts at 11:00 AM.

"Everyone, please go back to you're respective rooms. It's already 10 AM so we wish you luck!"

The hearsals are done. Every contestants has their individual room. Their name will be called when it's their turn. The lobby was starting to get filled. Judges table is already at the center, and special guest are already at the backstage.
