"Matthew?" I croaked. My head began to spin and there I vomited.

"You're alive." His voice carried through the wind. It sounded so foreign as if it weren't really him speaking.

"You're alive. Oh my gosh I thought you were dead." He started to pace back and fourth, tugging at his hair.

"What do you mean?" I breathed out, trying to comprehend everything that was happening.

"We need to leave." He stopped in his tracks and looked at me.

"We? Or just you Matt? You better say just you because there is no way in hell I would leave with you. What is even going on? What do you mean am I alive? Matthew what is going on." All of my anger started to boil inside of my stomach.

"Whit we need to leave."

I shuddered at what he called me. Nobody ever calls me Whit except for Matt.

"Not until you explain what the hell is going on." I yelled at him. The wind started to pick up more and I stood up the best I could, my feet and legs torn up.

"God damn it. Why are you always so stubborn? Whitney it's not safe here. You need to trust me and leave with me." He yelled, walking over to me and pointing his finger in my face. Tears started to stream down my face as I looked into those soul filled eyes that had made me fall in love once.

"What about my friends?" I cried, still looking at him.

"Whit please. They are going to be fine. I promise."

I looked at him with fearful eyes knowing he couldn't make a promise like that. My best friend could be laying on the floor dead right now.

"Please we need to hurry. They are coming." He pleaded.

"Who is coming?" I asked him, another tear ran down my face. There was a crunching sound not to far from us and that's all it took for Matt to grab my hand and pulled me with him.

"Matt my feet God damn." I spoke through gritted teeth. I could feel my feet worsen every leap I took.

"Jump into my arms." He stopped and held out his arms. I did what I was told and the way his arms held me brought back to many memories.

Matt ran through the woods for a good 5 minutes before we took a turn and headed towards another opening we found long ago. There was a car parked right by the edge of the road. I'm assuming it was his because he carried me to the passenger side and put me inside the car. He ran over to the drivers side and took no time starting the car and driving off as quickly as possible.

"Matthew slow down." I gripped onto the sides of the seat as we sped down a dirt road quickly.

"We're fine. Just relax." He sighed. After asking nicely he slowed down a little to wear I could relax in the seat a little more.

We drove for hours. Music wasn't playing, just a car full of silence. Left me in my thoughts, right now they were jumping around in my head giving me a headache. I stared out the window as rain started to pelt down outside.

Tired couldn't even describe the feeling that was overcoming me.

I didn't know where we were going, the air was thick between us, so thick it was hard to breath. My jumped out of my thoughts when the car came to a stop. I jolted forward a bit and then quickly slammed back into my seat.

"It's all I can afford right now. We can stay here for a night or two and then we will leave again, I don't know where to so please do not ask." Matthew spoke after a minute of silence. His voice was deep and rough, the way it got when he was tired.

I didn't respond I just unbuckled my seatbelt and opened up my door. Walking was almost unbearable now, but I managed to get inside as Matt grabbed a duffel bag from the trunk. It was as if he new this was going to happen. With the information he has given me, which was almost nothing, I wouldn't be surprised what he thought.

Matt got us a room that was small and a little dirty. I hated motels with a passion and Matt new that, but it's going to have to do for now.

"I have some clothes you can have and I have toiletries and everything like that." He mumbled, running his hands over his face a few times.

"I'm going to shower then." I tried to get a voice out, but managed to get just above a whisper. He nodded and started rummaging through the bag to grab me some things.

He was taking to long to find everything so I snatched the whole bag from him and walked into the bathroom. As soon as I shut the door I turned on the light and looked in the mirror.

My make up was smeared all of the way down my face, my body was covered in marks and dirt, and my hair looked like a rats nest. I closed my eyes and tried to take a deep breath, only to find warm tears fall from my eyes. But that wasn't getting rid of the pain fast enough.

So I started to scream and cry. I screamed and screamed and screamed until my voice was completely gone. I didn't care if they all thought I was insane, because right now I felt as if I was. I kicked the cabinets several times and banged my hands on the counter. I punched the duffle bag until some of the anger was released. I looked in the mirror again and wiped my tears.

I turned on the shower, as hot as it could go, and stripped out of my dress. The water burned my whole body, cleaning the cuts that were scattered through out my slim, pale body. I washed my hair what seems like 5 times before I actually got out and dried off.

It was nearly 2:30am before I actually stepped out of the bathroom. Matt stood there against a wall, just staring at the bathroom door waiting for me to come out of there. I walked forward with the duffel bag in my hand and I set it on a chair.

"I will sleep on the floor." His voice was rough. I didn't acknowledge him, I just walked over to the bed and sat on it. I threw one pillow onto the ground and Matt grabbed a blanket from the bag.

As soon as I pulled back the covers I laid down letting my head hit the somewhat soft pillow. My head pounded, but I was quick to fall asleep, not ever wanting to wake up.
