"Finally!"

Eris lets out a frustrated huff, dropping the paintbrush back in the tray and wiping her hands on her t-shirt as she peels the stencil off the wall shrugging slightly when she sees the slightly wobbly letters of the quote and the treble clef where the stencil had lifted slightly. Art had never been her strong suit. In fact, she kind of sucked at it. She pulls the sheets and paint cans out of the way before pushing her bed against the wall below the newly painted quote.

Or, well, trying to.

"What are you doing?" The brunette looks up at the sound of her father's amused voice, slipping and falling on her ass.

"I was trying to push my bed up against the wall." She says, kicking the double bed and he chuckles at his daughter before helping her push it up against the wall. "Thanks. What's up?" She asks, glancing at his uniform.

"I got called into work. I need to meet the deputies at the preserve. Make sure your brother doesn't do anything too stupid." Noah says and Eris nods.

"Sounds like a plan. Maybe I can con some manual labour out of him." Eris suggests, glancing at the pile of pieces that were supposed to be a dresser and the box of parts for a desk.

"Not too late. Okay?" He says and she nods.

"Not too late. Got it." Eris says before he leaves the room.

Not long after the front door shuts, Stiles bursts into his sister's room to see her trying to decipher the manual for her dresser. "Eris-" She cuts her brother off.

"Hey, have you ever assembled a dresser before? I don't understand the instructions." Eris says, turning the manual upside down in an attempt to read it as she tilts her head to the side slightly.

"No, but I don't think holding the manual upside down will help any." Stiles says and she sighs.

"Damn." She grumbles, looking over at him, frowning when she sees him fully dressed. "Where are you going?" Eris questions.

"We are going to get Scott and then we're going down to the preserve." Stiles says and Eris frowns slightly.

"Isn't, uh, isn't Dad at the preserve?" Eris asks, dropping the manual. "Investigating, you know, crime. With his deputies." She says and Stiles pauses before nodding.

"Yeah. Now let's go." He says and Eris sighs, letting him pull her up.

"I've got a feeling this is exactly what Dad wanted me to stop you from doing. So, let's go." Eris says and Stiles grins as she grabs an old hoodie, zipping it up before lacing up her trainers and following him out to the Jeep. "So, what are we going to the preserve for?" Eris asks.

"I was listening into Dad's phone call and apparently they found half a dead body in the woods. We are going to get Scott and then we're looking for the other half." Stiles announces.

"Oh, great. Well, it's nice knowing I'll manage a record." Eris says and Stiles frowns at her. "I've been back three days and I'll already be grounded. That's gotta be some kind of record." Eris says.
