Jade Gets Crush Pt. I (The Passenger Seat)

AN: English is not my first language, so pardon for any errors. This is also my first attempt to write a Bade fanfic, so please be kind :). The quarantine has driven me to watch Victorious reruns and read fanfics (mostly Bade). I am a sucker for Bade. I ship them like crazy. I am also a big Elavan fan although I know that their ship would unlikely sail.

Anyway, I hope you would like my fanfic. All events happened in Victorious; however, I re-ordered the episodes according to fit the narrative of Andre's romantic feelings towards Jade. It's Bade-centric and a one-sided Jandre.

I hope you would enjoy the story.

ANDRE

It's like time has stood still for Andre. Everything was in slow motion as he was being enraptured by the melodious voice of the lady singing in front of her.

It was not the first time he heard her sing, but it was the first time he was heartily captivated by her voice.

Suddenly, all the fears and apprehensions Andre has towards her vanished as she was bringing life into the lyrics she had penned for the chorus of his song project.

There is no upper hand
I'm giving you mine
It doesn't have to end up wasting your time
There's things that I could say
But here in my way
I want to let you know that it's all okay

Andre was still left in a daze after Jade finished singing. He didn't realize that the song was already over as his fingers continued to fiddle the keyboard. Suddenly, he was snapped back to reality when Jade asked him how the lyrics were. 

"What d'you think? D'you like that?" Jade asked while smiling at Andre.

Andre felt like it was the sweetest smile he had ever seen. He really didn't think that he would see Jade in this light. He had always seen Jade as scary and mean, but for now, all he can see was a Jade who was compassionate and charming.

Jade was still smiling at Andre as if waiting for his response. Grabbing the armrest of the chair he was sitting on, Andre was only able to mutter, "Hmm-mm" as he seemed to have lost the ability to speak.

"Okay." Jade who seemed to be a bit confused replied. "Did you not like the lyrics?" She asked again, her brows furrowed.

"W-what?" Andre replied, still in a trance.

"Didn't you like it?" Jade repeated.

Andre sat right up as he tried to get a hold of himself. He mentally shook himself so he could go back to his senses. He then replied, "N-no. I like it. Very much. It was beautiful. You were.. it was b-beautiful."

Andre tried to act normal, but he was just too nervous he couldn't help but stutter. He didn't want Jade to feel that something strange was happening inside him, so he turned his attention to the recording and mixing console.

"Uhm, so, do you want to record it again? This time the whole song, yeah?" He asked still with his back on Jade.

"Yeah, sure." Jade answered enthusiastically. "Let's get this over with so that we can finally go home." Jade placed the headset over her head again, "And you still have to drive me home, you know, because Beck might be sleeping already, and I really do not want to disturb him at this unholy hour." She continued.

The mention of Beck's name made Andre flinch. He couldn't be feeling this fondness over Jade. Beck is his best friend, and Jade is Beck's girlfriend. He also considered Jade as one of his close friends despite her angsty demeanor towards them and towards everybody. He just couldn't have this romantic feelings towards Jade. He just couldn't be infatuated with her.
