Kace's Pov

"What do you mean?" I asked innocently as I felt my legs shake slightly. She couldn't just switch from not wanting closed doors to wanting closed doors, it made me feel confused.

"I think you know what I mean," she replied as she smirked slightly. Her smirk was beautiful, one corner of her lip was always quirked up more than the other and it helped with her dominant radiance.

"I really don't," I said as I shook my head quickly. "I don't know why you wanted to look at my room anyways," I stated as I leaned against the wall while watching her. I still didn't know why she found so much significance in a collar unless she knew why a person would own one for themselves which would tell me she was knowledgeable about this type of stuff.

"Because I wanted to and you didn't object," Ria replied evenly as she moved gracefully through my room, her nimble fingers occasionally picking something up before putting it back. I was starting to think I was in the clear until she picked up my main collar which still had the chain leash attached to it. Nobody ever came inside my room so I never bothered hiding it. "What's this?" she asked as she dangled it on one of her fingers while walking over to me.

"Spare collar," I lied as I pressed against the wall as she walked towards me. 'Oh please oh please believe me,' I begged in my mind as she stopped right in front of me.

"Your friend certainly has a lot of spare collars," she chuckled as she leaned closer while staring up at me. Even though she was the one looking up at me, I certainly felt small under the gaze of those emerald pools that were her eyes. "Or is it that you have this collar and a spare for yourself?" she asked.

"Why would I have a collar? I don't own any animals at all," I stated my voice wavering slightly as she crocked her head while staring up at me.

"For you," she said as she shrugged her shoulders. "But if it's just a spare collar for your friend's dog you wouldn't mind if I...dropped it," she said as she let my collar slip off her finger. Before I could even really think I had dropped down to my knees and caught it, holding it close to my chest as I looked up at her.

"Seems like it means quite a lot to you for it just being a dog's collar that belongs to your friend," she said as she looked down at me, her gaze causing shivers to race up my spine.

"Fine," I sighed as I stared down at the simple, black collar. The only thing fancy about it was the little lace string pattern I had glued on the edge, because it made me feel special when I felt the lace on my skin. "I have this thing where I like to wear collars," I said as I clutched the collar close. "It's weird, I know. But it makes me happy," I told her.

"It's not weird. I know exactly what you mean but I don't appreciate you lying to me." she placed her index finger under my chin, lifting it higher to meet her dominating gaze. " If you love wearing collars so much then it could only mean one thing, you're a dog."

I let my head fall to the floor as I whimpered. She knows. She knows my secret and was able to figure it out in less than a day. I know I've never felt so embarrassed anymore and that's because of her. I wasn't ashamed of liking what I did. All of my friends knew about it. But Ria was a stranger, someone that could go around campus and ruin my reputation. Not only that, but Hazel wasn't completely wrong. I did in fact have a small crush on Ria and couldn't imagine I had ruined it already.

"Aww don't look so sad, dog. I'm not here to criticize you."

I looked nervously at her. "You're not?" she shook her head. "How can I believe you?"

She laughed and I frowned. "Because I like what you are, dog. People like me need people like you."

"Stop calling me dog." I pouted.

"No, because that's exactly what you are."

I huffed and rolled my eyes. "Whatever," I mumbled. I wanted to end this weird conversation and return to my friends. I needed a drink after all of this.

But Ria had other plans. She had her palm around my neck in less than a second, slightly adding enough pressure with her fingers to make me quiver in my place. I realized I was still kneeling. My hands furiously fastened on to my pretty collar and my eyes glued to Ria's angry ones. The situation wasn't looking good for me. I hadn't slipped but with this position, I'll do so sooner than anticipated.

I whined trying to fight off my puppy headspace. It was going well until Ria commanded me to sit. I knew I couldn't fight it any longer. "Look at me dog, always look at me." She took her hand away and exchanged it for my collar, placing it around my neck before I could even protest. The mix of her confidence balanced well with my hesitation as her small honest smile appeared. "Just let go, Kace. I've got you from now on." She whispered and then locked my collar in place.
