Artorias watched as Dusk collapsed; her optics dark and lifeless. Knockout fainted (he tends to faint alot doesn't he?). Ironhide's cannons went off with loud boom; the Decepticon -who tried to get out of the way, and fail- got hit in the face by both shots. Artorias rushed forward, and with his greatsword, he hacked the screeching thing into a pulp. Unrecognizable, he quickly turned toward Optimus. His spark skipped a beat as he saw Dusk in his arms, precious energon ran down his arms like a river among a moutain,  the blue, thick liquid pooled on the floor.

                                   ...

In the med bay, Optimus watched Dusk like a hawk. She almost died, his only daughter! He couldn't help feel that it was his fault; Knockout, whom laid against a wall, awoke. A horrified look prevailed over him as he discovered all the scratch marks to his paint job.

"What the.... oh hell no! You did not scratch up my beautiful red paint! Do you...." he trailed off. He walked up to the table that held Dusk; he watched both father and daughter for some time.

Knockout remarked "She's a strong femme." Prime's optics shifted slightly, as if to make contact, but his gaze never shifted from his little autobot.

"She's like her mother....." he said "Dusk almost befalled the same fate Elita did..." There was silence for a while, Optimus broke death's shadowy embrace, saying

"Why did the Decepticon shoot her, and not me? If he had shot me..."

Knockout interrupted "Then she'd be watching you right now. What if Backfire's shot hit you dead in the spark? She would be left without a leader and a father, somebody to protect, love, and guide her." Prime glanced at Knockout; the newly-made Autobot gave a comforting smile.

"Don't worry. She might a tiny little.... nugget, but I think she'll recover fine. She is a prime, right? Does it work like that?" Knockout exclaimed. Optimus gave a small nod. Dusk's optics flickered online for a few moments, but they quickly turned back to a lifeless, hollow state.
