Dusk and Dawn.... Book 1

Megatron

After making his rounds, Artorias decided to check on Dusk. Ever since she had been shot, everyone has been on high alert; Ratchet checks his console every minute, Crosshairs.... Crosshairs just stares into space. Whatever. Artorias entered the med bay to see Optimus and Knockout chit- chatting quietly.

"Is the little one.... will my... will she survive?" He asked. Knockout shrugged, but his optics gleamed brightly.

He answered "I hope so; I'm not the greatest doctor though." Artorias became shocked at the sight of Prime; optics dull with deep sorrow, and hunched over like his back was broken; Optimus sighed.

Ratchets console began flashing red.

He said, his optics filled with worry "The north enterance...." Optimus suddenly stood up; he unshealthed his sword and rushed down a tunnel yelling "Ironhide, Artorias, Crosshairs with me! Bumblebee, stay with Dusk!" Artorias and Ironhide ran after Prime; However, Crosshairs stayed.

"Ah' ain't movin' an inch." He stated, as he crossed his arms. Knockout got out his saw-blade.

"I'll cut off your spike and shove it down your throat if you don't go." A wolfish grin dominated his faceplate. Crosshairs quickly transformed and raced after Ironhide.

Rushing down one of the tunnels to the north gate, Optimus halted as he heard footsteps.

"Lord Megatron I..."

"Shut up Starscream, we have visitors!" Prime turned the corner to see Megatron, and nameless Decepticons.

"Why ain't I surprised ya'll are alive?" Crosshairs exclaimed. Ironhide, to his right, looked pissed; while Artorias remained an emotionless statue. Everyone (but Optimus) took a step back as Megatron took a step forward.

He chuckled "Is there anyone in the universe who will challenge the might of Megatron?"

Optimus bravely answered "There is one Megatron! I, Optimus Prime, challenge you!" Optimus launched himself at Megatron; he shoved Prime into the wall like a Tonka toy.

"You destroy everything you touch Megatron!" Gasped Prime.

Megatron grinned "Because everything I touch is food for my hunger, my hunger for power!" Optimus managed to rip a piece of the evil one's faceplate, and push him back. Seeing the one second opportunity, Optimus quickly shoved his sword deep into Megatrons chest, and into his spark. As Megatron wrnt limp, Prime withdrew his sword.

"It is done."he said, looking around at the bloody mess the Decepticons made; but where was.... Optimus's pain receptors went off, and he collapsed.
