kenma kozume excused himself from the dinning table. he carried the plates to the sink as he rinsed them with water and went upstairs. he once again locked himself in his room, plopped down at the foot of his bed and grabbed his nintendo controller.

usually, he would play gta, but today he is feeling more of an animal crossing mood. kenma usually didn't play animal crossing. it's not like he didn't like it, he just didn't want people to find out. kuroo, his best friend did live beside him afterall. if he found out that kenma played such a childish game, he surely would tell everyone. what would they think about a second year playing animal crossing?

kenma shook his head, trying to shake the thought. he climbed on his bed and looked out the window. kuroo's house was pretty close to his, so both of them can easily see what eachother was doing. kenma didn't mind, kuroo wasn't the type to poke his head in to other people's business anyways, but the thought of him catching kenma playing animal crossing sent a shiver down his spine.

it's not like kenma was doing anything inappropriate, but still!

kenma closed his curtains. he was sure kuroo can still see his room, but he probably can't see what he was playing. feeling safe, kenma sat on his bed as he once again, grabbed his controller and entered the game. he was surprised at how much he actually enjoyed the game. it's not too complicated, you main intention was meeting new animals and completing quests. 

he was in the middle of completing one when he heard a rumble outside.

it sounds like a truck, heavy things, and a lot of people talking. he didn't like loud things, but that didn't stop him from peaking behind the curtains out of curiousity.

he saw that kuroo too, was very curious. kuroo opened his windows as he stretched his head out. kenma looked at the direction where kuroo was looking at.

he saw a large truck parked outside of the house across the street that was vacant for months. he watched closely as the back of the truck opened and multiple men went in and carried out boxes. there was some things he can spot. a telescope, a piano, a woman in her 30s and a girl.

after carrying a lot of the boxes, one of the workers seem to be carrying a small teapot. not looking where he was going, he tripped as the teapot smashed to the ground. the woman was furious as she argued with the workers.

the chaotic energy filled the neighborhood. people arguing, truck engine grinding, people coming out of their houses while murmuring, kuroo laughing

the only thing that's silent seems to be that girl, unbothered by the things surrounding her. she stood at the curb of the sidewalk while looking at the sky.

kenma looked closely at the girl. she seems very focused. her height was fair, definetely not taller than kenma himself, but around 1.60 m. her hair was h/c colored, and when kenma squint a little, he could see that her eyes were E/C.

the girl looked away, and seemed to catch kenma and kuroo staring. she gave a confident smile and waved, kuroo yelled a greeting and waved back, while kenma sheepishly smiled as he closed the curtains and plopped down on his bed again.

that's enough human interaction for the day
