over the next few weeks y/n gradually grew a little closer to kenma with each conversation they had. sometimes it would be about their own interests, sometimes it would be little inside jokes about kuroo's hair. just dumb random things like that.

kenma noticed that almost every night, y/n would climb up on her roof with her laptop, just laying their and looking at the sky. sometimes she would bring her earphones, sometimes she wouldn't. it's almost like a daily routine.

of course, kenma didn't really care. he was always too focused on his own games anyways. He recently just tried out "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" which he found pretty enjoyable.

he tried to watch the stars once to see what y/n was so obsessed about, but after a few min he went back inside. he found it boring staring at something that's motionless, colorless. it is kinda pretty, but still, he prefers xbox.

one night, at around 11 pm, he was reading a book for his english class. when he finished, he found y/n still on the roof, with her laptop beside her and a notebook.

kenma opened the window to get a better look at what y/n was doing, curiosity got the best of him afterall. 

y/n sat on the edge of her roof with her earbuds, her head bobbing along with the beat. her laptop was open, but facing the other direction while she was looking up at the sky.

y/n looked away and noticed kenma staring. she waved.

"HI KOZUME." she yelled.

even across the street, kenma can hear her perfectly well, maybe even a little too well. He put his finger over his lips as he motioned for her to shush. y/n scratched her neck as she smiled awkwardly.

kenma then took out his phone and pointed at it, his mouth forming a word, "text"

y/n got the hint as she grabbed her laptop and opened imessage.

lol i suck anyways so i dont even bother 
i only wrote like 400 words for our essay, except i made my font supa large so it's 5 pages B)
