Am I Still The TrollHunter?

Chapter 1 Myself

Darkness. Darkness surrounded me, as I watched Claire reach out for me screaming my name, her eyes red and her face stained with tears broke my heart. But there was nothing i could do I was turning to stone and fast, i reached out to her, and said my last words. “Claire.”

I thought it was over, but then I opened my eyes, I was alive. I looked down at my hands and they were my hands! My actual fleshbag hands! I looked up and saw Claire, I wasn't dead! My heart skipped a beat.

"Claire?" I asked, as I looked into her eyes. It had to be her. I was alive, or we were both dead. I stood up to hold Claire as she ran up and hugged me. It was at this moment when I realized that I was most definitely alive.

"Claire, what happened?" I asked as I pulled away from the hug grabbing her hands. I had forgotten how great it felt to hold her hand in mine. The feeling was magical.

Claire smiled and said through sobs. "You, turned to stone, but then you came back!" She hugged me again, I held her close. 

"Jimbo!" Toby screamed from behind me.

"Tobes" I turned and saw my best friend run up and join the hug!

"I thought I lost you man! Don't ever so that again!" Toby smiled.

I turned to the rest of the team behind me, Blinky, Arrrgh, and Steve, wait Steve? Was he crying?

"Steve were you crying?" I asked with a mischievous smirk.

"WHAT! No! I just got something in my eye!" Steve answered and rubbed his eyes.

"In both of them?" Claire asked putting her hands on her hips.

"Great Gronka Mora!" Blinky said and pulled me in for a hug.

"Blinky!" I smiled and returned the hug.

"Wait! Where's Douxie and Nori?" Claire asked as she turned around and looked up at the sky. 

"Wait is that him?" Toby asked pointing up at someone falling.

"No no no no!" Claire opened a portal but was to late to catch her friend. 

"Oh no!" Toby said as the group ran over.

"Douxie! Teach wake up!" Claire said starting to shake Douxie.

Steve ran up and kneeled beside them. 

"How am I supposed to be an epic heroic knight if you aren't my Merlin!" Steve wailed.

"Really? That's what your main concern is?" Archie asked as he landed next to them.

"Archie is he alright?" Claire asked.

"I believe he is just give him time." Archie said.

There was quite for a few moments, but I had to tell someone.

"Blinky?" I asked, my voice cracking, it could have been because I was emotional about what I was going to say or because I came back from the dead moments ago.

"Yes, Master Jim." Blinky responded.

"I know this is kind of a bad time, I whispered, but the Amulet. They broke it."

"Ah, yes. They brought Morgona back that must have been because, her hand was used to forge the Amulet. No wonder they needed you." Blinky said as he blinked his 6 eyes.

"Well, look where that got them." I said as I gestured over to where Morgona and Arthur used to be, now it was covered up by a tower from Camelot.

"Teach! I can't believe your alive!" I heard Claire say.

"Careful, careful I just came back from beyond the grav- wait where's Jim?" Douxie asked. Blinky stepped aside to reveal my new… well old self? Seeing Claire never failed to make me smile. She ran up and grabbed my hand.

"It seems that I missed alot." Douxie laughed.

"So have I but I'm glad to be back." I nodded to Claire and the others.

"But what if Morgona and Arthur?" Douxie asked as he looked around.

"Smashed." Arrrgh said.

"And leaving Exacliber for someone to-" Blinky was interrupted by Toby's grunts as he tried to pull the sword.

"I just had to try." Toby said as he fell back in defeat.

"What if you master Jim?" Blinky asked as he pointed to the sword.

"What?" I asked, I didn't want to try and pull the sword and fail. I already felt like such a loser that I hurt my friends and lost the Amulet permanently.

"Jim, he's right. Since Arthur is gone someone needs to wield Excalibur." Douxie said motioning his head towards the sword.

"Who better than the TrollHunter?" Claire asked and walked over to the sword.

I swallowed, and walked over to the sword. I grasped the hilt and pulled, and nothing happened. The sword didn't even budge. I pulled again, and nothing happened. I let go of the sword and let my shoulders drop trying not hide my disappointment. 

"But without the Amulet am I still the TrollHunter?" I asked, I didn't mean to say that out loud.

Douxie looked at me, "Jim. This means nothing. If there's one thing I learned is that-" Douxie continued to speak but I couldn't hear him. Everything became blurry I closed my eyes to try and focus. But when I did it was only for a moment because when I closed my eyes I saw him. The Green Knight. I tried to conceal myself, and looked around at the others. We were fine. The king was gone.

"Wait your leaving?" Claire asked. As she walked over to Douxie.

"But you just gave a whole speech about how we were supposed to stick together." Steve said in protest.

Thankful, it seemed that the others were preoccupied when I had my… I guess panick attack.

"Where are you going?" I asked, I felt like I had to say something. I haven't spoken in a while and I didn't want people to think that I was upset about Excalibur.

"I must protect Nori, but don't worry. I'll be seeing your heroes of Arcadia soon.". With that Douxie left we all watched him leave. Then I looked down again, I couldn't get Arthur off of my mind. Claire came up and hugged me I hugged her back but then looked up at Excalibur again. 

"oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!" Toby said jumping around.

"What?" I asked with a slight laugh.

"Jim, your mom! She's going to freak out. I mean in a good way." Toby said, catching his breath from the excitement.

"Mom." I said quietly to myself. 

"What are we waiting for let's go then." Claire smiled and opened a portal. 

Toby shook his head in disapproval. 

"A portal really Claire? This is huge! He came back from the dead and is human again! This will need more then just a portal." Toby said rolling his eyes.

Claire rolled her eyes and closes the portal.

"Hey, it's pretty nice for a walk, though huh?" I said then grabbed Claire's hand.

She smiled and brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear, we then began to walk back home.
