I walked into the kitchen "Morning Christie" I said as I grabbed a cup from the cabinet.

"Morning Jade" Christie replied as she took a pancake off of the stove and placed it onto a platter "you got the sausage?" She questioned.

"You know I always do" I answered while pulling the packet of sausage out of our now almost empty refrigerator. "We need to go to the grocery store ASAP." I added as I slid a frying pan off of its hook.

"We have nothing better to do today." She stated, a hint of bitterness in her voice.

It's true, we had nothing better to do. Our boyfriends were out again today. They like to say it's 'business' but we know that's not true. They didn't even come home last night. Too much partying. It's been like that for a few months now. I barely get to see Leo, and when I do we're always fighting or he's too tired to talk to me because he's partying too much.

"I know" I sighed.

After breakfast, me, Christie and Alexa decided to do some much needed shopping for the house. We bought about $300 dollars worth of groceries. By the time we were finished putting everything away, our kitchen looked like an actual kitchen, compared to before when it looked more like a model kitchen.

"Jade?" Christie asked as she walked down the hall looking for me.

"In the kitchen." I said as I placed the last grocery bag in the cupboard.

"Ryan just texted me." She said with a hint of excitement in her voice.

"What'd he say?" I asked curiously.

"He said that him, Leo, and Chris want to take us all out to dinner tonight." She said giddily.

That instantly made my mood change from bored to excited.

"That's great!" I yelled. "I feel like I haven't seen Leo in forever."

"They said to wear something nice and be ready by 8, but they won't say where we're going." She said as she pouted at her phone.

"It's already 6:45. We should start getting ready!" I exclaimed as I pushed Christie out of the kitchen and towards the bedrooms.

After 45 minutes of not being able to choose what to wear. I decided on a black strapless romper and some cute black sandals. I let my hair fall into its natural wavy state and placed a light coat of makeup on.

I grabbed my clutch and made sure my phone, and keys were in it. I grabbed my wallet and slid that in next to my phone.

The girls were already sitting in the couch waiting for me when I got to living room.

"It's 10:15 and I'm really f*cking pissed. They didn't even call to cancel." I yelled as I angrily redialed Leo for the 10th time. This time it rang twice before it went to voicemail.

"This sucks." Alexa said as she started playing on her phone again.

"I'm done. If he thinks he can just ignore for months at a time and everything is gonna be okay, he must be high." I said as I stood up from the couch. "He probably is high." I laughed as I walked towards the bedroom.

"Goodnight girls." I yelled behind me.

I closed the door to the room before I heard a reply.

I took out my duffel bag from under the bed and started placing clothes and toiletries in it. I put the romper away and slipped into jeans.

"Now I just have to wait for Leo." I sighed."if he comes home"

I waited for 5 hours and that's when I decided that I was leaving with or without him being here.

I picked up my bag and placed it by the door.

I decided the best way to let him know I was leaving was to leave a note, but of course there was no paper in the room.

I opened the laptop and started typing.

"Dear Leonardo Piazza, I'm done feeling like a helpless child. If I go out by myself I get yelled at, but you won't take me out. Tonight I was hoping you'd redeem yourself at dinner but then you f*ucking stood me up. You were probably getting high with your 'boys'. Oh well. You'll see that you f*ucked up. You let me go and you could have completely prevented it. With great sorrow, Jade Albero.
I opened the bedroom door and crashed into someone.

I looked up and there he was. Eyes red, clothes dirty, puffing on a joint.

At first I wanted to hug him but then I remembered why I was there and I scooted past him and into the hall.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" He barked as I reached for my bag.

"I'm leaving your sorry ass." I spat

His face became unreadable and I didn't know what was gonna happen next.
