I'm so so sorry for the late update!! My internship started 3 weeks ago and I've been really busy with school. I'll try to post a new chapter as soon as I can, I promise! :)

Hope you enjoy this chapter! <3

The rest of the week went by in a flash. School was boring, like usual. Riley and I texted eachother everyday. He alwas texts me when I wake up, and when I go to sleep. His sweet ‘goodnight’ texts always put a smile on my face. It’s just a great feeling to have someone who actually likes you the way you really are.

Now it’s Friday night and we just had a real family diner. It was a once-a-month thing. Even my brother would come home for 2 days. This way, we would still feel like a family. Or so my parents say. To me, it’s really depressing. They always bring up the subject I try my best to avoid, being gay. Brian told mom and dad about his new roomate and his boyfriend. The look on their faces was hilarious! I had to bite the inside of my cheek to not laugh out loud. My parents even forbid Brian to hang out with him, because he was a disgrace of God and blablabla. It’s always the same stuff they say about it. Neither me, Tessa or Brian agrees with them though, but we would never say that tp them. I know for sure Brian isn’t going to listen to mom and dad and just gonna hang out with his roommate. You go Brian!

Around 8 pm I sit in my room. I’m not even doing anything. Just sitting on my bed and thinking about life. Yeah, I can go deep. I’m not just a pretty face, as Tessa would put it. I’ve een thinking for the last few weeks about telling Tessa about my secret, but I’m just scared of how she’s going to react. Will she freak out? Will she tell our parents? Or the whole neighborhood?!

But then again, she is my sister. Isn’t she supposed to love me no matter what? Telling Brian would be a lot easier. He has a gay roommate, so what would be so bad about a gay brother? I think he only will be shocked, but I’m sure he’s going to respect me. And Tessa will too. I’m worrying over nothing. They are my siblings, we tell eachother everything. I can trust them with this.

With that my mind is made up. I stand up and walk out of my room. I knock on Tessa’s door, yelling at her to come to my room and then on Brians. Then I walk back to my room and sit down on my bed again. The erves are starting to kick in, but I have to do this. They have to know, and I have to tell somebody close to me.

Tessa enters my room with an annoyed expression on her face, and Brian follows her in. he can see by the look on my face that something is bothering me and sits beside me on my bed.

“Whatever it is, can you hurry? I have a lot of homework” tessa says still annoyed. Brian gives her a sharp look. He took his part of being the older brother very seriously. When I was bullied when I was 13, Brian beat them up. That’s what I love so much about him. He’s not afraid of anyone and anything.

“It won’t take too long. I just have to tell you guys something, but you got to swear me that you won’t tell anyone, not even mom and dad”. They clearly hear the seriousness in my voice, because they both swear.

 I take a deep breath. “I’m gay”.

Tessa looks at lke I’ve just lost my mind. Brian on the other hand remains calm, but stares at me with surprise. Probably the last thing they expected me to tell them.

“Are you being serious or are you just joking, because I can’t really tell right now” Tessa asks. I give her a look. “Why the hell would I joke about something like that? I’m being serious, Tess. I’m gay”.

“How long have you known?” Brian asks me, the surprised look gone. Now he just looks curious.

“For a few years now. I’ve never been attracted to any girl and guys always fascinated me, eventhough I didn’t know why”. Brian just nods his head.
