Elegantly Trapped

Forty-Five.

Scarlett settles down beside Nicholas and Susanna as the Prime Minister announces that the country will be under lockdown after a dangerous flu outbreak.

"Well what are we suppose to do considering the city is closed" Susanna sighs.

"School work perhaps" Cole suggests handing Marie some tea.

"William does not need to do school work" Nicholas points out.

"Hmm because I'm going to you know be running a country and an education is pointless" William tells his younger brother.

"William" Scarlett scolds. William shrugs.

"Helena dear, you will be at school with Marie if you would like. You can always go back to yours to finish the semester" Scarlett says.

Helena was gifted in school, skipping every other grade. Instead of being in the last grade of high school Helena was taking college classes.

Helena clears her throat, "I'll stay and be tutored. I think it's better considering all things" Helena says.

"Excellent" Scarlett says with a smile. William rubs Helena's arm assuring her, she smiles up at her fiancé.

"No one is allowed to leave the palace grounds until this flu outbreak is over understood" Cole says to his children. Everyone nods.

"So we're stuck here like momma was?" Nicholas says. Cole stifles a laugh.

"Oui Nicholas" Scarlett chuckles and kisses the side of his head.

Thomas quickly catches Marie's head as she falls asleep "alright, I think we are gonna go to bed" Thomas announces, placing Marie's cup of tea on the coffee table. Marie groans as Thomas pulls her up gently. Everyone says their good nights before Thomas pulls her away.

"Come on beautiful" Thomas says pulling Marie up the stairs.

"I'm exhausted" Marie sighs as Thomas lifts her up gently carrying her up the stairs now with one arm.

"I know baby, your still recovering and it's late. You should have told me you were exhausted" He says as she drapes her arm around his neck allowing him to carry her, leaning her head on his head.

"I just got comfy" she shrugs. Thomas chuckles as he lightly kicks open the door to the triplets room.

"Are you gonna be staying?" Marie asks with a yawn.

"No, I have work to do with Kennedy. Something about the flu outbreak. I'll be in late so don't wait for me which I doubt it because I can sense you falling asleep right now" Thomas tells her.

"You should come to bed" Marie says as he places her on the bed.

"I will" Thomas chuckles leaning on his hands caging her in, "just not right now. I do have a job to do lumière des étoiles" Thomas smiles before kissing her quickly.

Marie scoffs "okay fine. Just promise me you will come and actually sleep, I know how sometimes you just lay in bed with me" Marie sighs.

Thomas rocks on his feet and nods, "can never hide anything from you" Thomas gives her a small smile, "but I promise please just go to bed now, you look exhausted" Thomas says and kisses her again before pushing off the bed and towering over her.

Marie looks up and shakes her head at her boyfriend "what?" He chuckles.

"Nothing" Marie smiles, "just thinking how lucky I got with you and that your hot"

Thomas throws his head back laughing "trust me baby" Thomas says lifting her chin up, "I am definitely the one that got lucky" Thomas smiles softly at her. "You my dear are so lucky we're at your parents house and not back at the apartment" Thomas smugly says rubbing her chin.
