The Kingdom of Love

Moving in

April gives me a special map to help me to and from the kingdom and I go to the entrance and let out.
Trekking out of the kingdom, I follow the map and are soon out of the forest.
I get in my abandoned car and start the engine, driving to my old apartment.
Gathering my important things and possessions when I get there and leave the rest of the stuff there to rot.
I fill my suit case with my clothes and throw it in the back of my car, excited.
Journeying through the forest and approach the appropriate tree trunk. I knock on it 3 times and the door opens up to the kingdom entrance.
I walk in carrying all my stuff and am greeted surprisingly by Edward. He smiles at me and leads me to my new house. I stand outside this beautiful cottage a little away from the main kingdom part. It's surrounded in beautiful garden and luscious green.
I look at him in surprise and he just grins.
"Don't worry, this garden is kept nice by magic and the fairies." He looks at me and I nod in excitement.
I unlock the door and go in to see this beautiful cottage, the decor was all wooden and very rustic.
I smile as I put my stuff in the appropriate areas.
I go into the bedroom and fill my new closet with clothing. I sit on the bed and relax, feeling the amazing mattress under me. I lay down, happy.
I shut my eyes for a nap.

I wake up to the chirping of the birds and a text message coming through. I turn over and look at my phone.
I slept right until the next day, jesus.....
It's weirdly from the king.
His name is "Edward 👑" in my phone and I laugh.
"Need any help today?" I read his message out loud and grin, I feel my heart jump a little.
I text back that, it would be good and sit up.
I expect henry to be here.

I hear the doorbell go and run to go let henry in but when I open the door I'm greeted with a smiling Edward.
I stare at him in surprise for a little while.
"So, do you need help?" He laughs and breaks my silence.
I let him in and he takes his shoes off.
I lead him to the kitchen and he sits down, admiring the place and the little decorations I've done to it here and there.

A little later, we are finished unpacking the boxes that have been brought back from my car.
We look at each other and I sigh with relief.
Edward laughs and we sit down on the edge of my bed.
"Thank you for your help, Edward." Looking at him, I smile.
"That's no problem, I enjoyed it." He smiles back at me and chuckles.
Feeling the need to grab his hand, I move my hand into my lap to stop myself.
He looks at me then down at his lap, his brown hair flopping over.
"So, why did you come over to help?" I ask him, breaking the silence.
He looks at me and grins.
"I like to help as much as I can, I don't want to sit around and be a lazy king like human kings." He replies.
I nod in recognition and smile.
"You're a good king, Edward." I blush after I say this to him.
"Thank you, I try." He sighs and lays back on the bed.
His shirt is a little lifted up to see his chiselled abs, I stare at them for a moment then look at his face, looking up to my ceiling.
His eyes lock onto mine and I feel my stomach get butterflies.
He then sits up again and gets up.
"I need to get going, I have some business I need to tend to." He tells me, I get up also and follow him to the door.
He opens it up and turns around.
"Thank you for letting me come help, I had fun." He tells me.
"I had fun too.." I trail off, looking at him.
He walks up the pathway and puts his crown back on and waves off to me in a silly manner. I chuckle and close the door.
I lean against it and sigh.

Waking up the next day, I sit up against my head board and look at my phone. I see a text from Edward again.
It's only one word.
Coffee?
I smile and text back, he lets me know when and where and I get ready.

We meet at a small café in a little area away from the kingdom, his crown is off and he's sitting at a reserved table waiting for me.
I sit down opposite me and he smiles.
"I didn't just invite you for coffee, I wanted you to meet your familiar." He looks to me.
I frown in confusion.
"Every Elf has a familiar, mine is an Eagle but it can be any animal and I thought I'd treat you to one. They're very loyal folks." He chuckles after.
After our coffee is delivered, he gets up and helps me up from the table. I look at him and smile, trying to hide my blush.
"We have to take you to the kingdom so you can choose your familiar. You have 3 options, like Pokémon really." He laughs and looks at me.
I laugh too.

We arrive at the castle...
