-Scott-
"This is his number he called you on?"
"Yessir. He called me last night on my cellphone telling me that he has my daughter and isn't giving her back."
"Why did he say he wasn't giving her back?"
"Apparently my husband and I don't deserve her, and he does. He told me that she's his daughter now."
"Why the hell wouldn't you deserve your own kid? Unless you abusive her?"
"No. No never. This man doesn't even know us."
"I got a hit on the number." Another cop said.
"Alright. Let's see." The officer I was talking to walked over to the computer. I looked back at Mitch who had been standing next to me, not talking. He didn't look over at me. Just stared off.
"Mitch?" I whispered. He didn't look over.
"We have a good hit Mr. Hoying. The man this number belongs to lives close by. His name is Marvin Reynolds. He is 45 years old and lives on his own."
"Can you go find him and get our daughter back?" I stepped closer to the officer.
"We can. I'm calling in back up and we'll go tonight. It's best to go during the dark so he doesn't see us coming in. I promise we'll get your daughter back." He patted me on the shoulder and walked out of the room to a group of officers.
"Thank you sir." I said to the officer on the computer. He nodded his head at us and we walked out.
