Capture and escape

My eyelids lazily began to lift as I stretched out my body. I heard a noise and my eyes shot open, and my whole body went into high alert. I stood up off the cold metal floor. The putrid stench of human wafted closer to me, I could smell al least two of them. Two guards came into view and one banged the cell bars that kept me prisoner in this horrid lab. I shifted my uncomfortable chains around my wrists and ankles trying to cue them to hurry this in counter up. "Here's your fucking breakfast you mutt!" The first one yelled as he banged on my bars once more. The second slid a tray of stale and almost rotten food through the slot in my door. "Eat up fucker, you need to be nice and energized for when your appointment time comes. The doc doesn't want you dying just yet." He jeered at me. I just glared as I angrily swished my tail around. He glared at me and I bared my fangs, growling. He smirked and tazed me. I fought falling, he couldn't win, he can't see that I'm in pain. I eventually fell to the floor, numb and yet completely aware of my pain. They left laughing. I waited for them to be out of my sight before crawling towards the 'food'. I crawled, my tail dragging across the floor behind me. I transformed into my human form. I had tan skin, icey blue eyes that fade into a blood red, long matted red hair with black underneath, sharp features, and the many scars that decorate my muscular figure. I scarfed down my food and ignored the mournful howling and cry's best I could. I began trying to move semi-normally again and once I was able to walk properly I paced around my cell. Damn it, after a thousand years you think I'd have been able to get out of these situations easier. Crash! Bang! I jolted out of my thoughts as I heard these noises. I became my wolf form again, ready for trouble. There was an odd smell coming closer as the noises got louder. I now got onto a shelf in my cell and waited to strike whatever came to threaten me. I could smell... wait. The joy of other beastmen? Could this thing that's causing the noises be breaking us out? A large wolf, who looked quite like myself despite a few key differences, came into view. He slashed open the bars of the cell across from mine. The tiger who once fought me over food was now running free. He turned around to see me, beaten, bleeding, and ready for a fight. He looked into my eyes and I felt less on edge, he slashed open my cell door and moved on the the next cell. I jumped off my shelf and cautiously walked out of my cell. I saw that the coast was clear and I booked it outside, making my way through the endless twisting corridors using my extreme sense of smell. I made it outside and ran into the forest. I had to make it out of the city. My hospital gown tore and ripped as I shoved my way through the brush, I could smell lots of beastmen and I followed the scent. I made it to a dock, I could see police up ahead and dashed back into the forest just out of sight. I jumped and landed in a tree which is where I waited until seeing a tanuki that I didn't recognize running from beastmen hunters. I jumped out of the tree and growled as I stood protectively in front of the tanuki. They rushed at me with weapons and I just stood my ground. One went to throw a right hook at me with brass knuckles. I grabbed his arm and threw him at the others, knocking some out. The next one ran up to me with a spiked bat, I crouched down and swept her legs out from under her. Two more came at me and I grabbed the one on the ground. I threw her at the others and picked up the tanuki girl. "Where are you taking me!?" She yelled as I held her close to my body, running away from the police along the shoreline. I got to an open part of the shore and I heard a voice behind me. "You look like you need help." A sly female voice said from the road. I whipped my head around to look at her. She walked towards me and gave me a sly smile. "You looking to get to anima city? I can get you there, for a price." She slyly said. The tanuki girl's eyes lit up. "Yes! Here, I can pay you. Please help her too, she saved me." She said once I put her down. The mink gave the girl a sly smile. "Sure, gimme all you've got in the wallet and we have a deal." She said extending a hand to the girl. The tanuki girl handed the mink a wad of cash and we followed the mink to a boat. We both got on and we began our way to anima city. In a few long minutes we reached anima's shoreline. "Okay we're here. Now once we get off you don't know me got it?" The mink said as the boat docked. The tanuki replied but I just jumped off and onto the dock. I proceeded to ignore the tanuki girl as she followed me and continued to ask me questions. We walked into a dark town square. "Wow this is creepy." The girl said shivering. I just sniffed the air, I could smell thousands of beastmen. I went into high alert. They all came out wearing white wolf masks. Soon bright and colorful lights and confetti burst out around us. Everyone took off their masks and began to celebrate. I just walked towards the large screen and sat down under the pillars. I noticed a suspicious looking fox with some tools and I could smell gun power and bombs on him. Holy shit. That's not good. I stood up ready to approach him but he ran and a few seconds later the pillars collapsed. "Shit!" I growled as I ran towards the citizens. I grabbed a few that weren't going to make it out from under the billboard. I grabbed the same tanuki girl and made it out. Almost. Shit! My foots stuck! I collapsed on the ground with my foot stuck under the screen. Beastmen surrounded me and the police showed up. The wolf that helped me escape came up to the tanuki girl and grabbed her, picking her up by her collar. He was saying something to her but my vision was fading. I fought to keep continuance and I could see the police and the wolf man helping get my foot uncovered. "Your legs broken ma'am. We need to get you to the hospital." The police chief said as I stood up. "No thanks. I'm good." I said beginning to walk away. "Wait, how's your leg fixed? It was broken just a minute ago?" He asked. "I've always been able to heal my wounds. No big deal. Now any clue where I could get a place to sleep?" I asked looking at the police man.
