" Hey, turn the music up a bit louder!" I screamed at Justin. He glared at me through the rear view mirror but nonetheless, turned the volume up. " That's the spirit!"
I horribly sang along to the song on the radio. " Ouch, my ears!" Justin screeched in an over dramatic voice. Frankie chuckled from the backseat. I shot him my best smile.
" Shaley!" Justin yelled, annoyed with my beautiful singing.
" She confident! Oh no, no, oh, no, no and I'm-" I got cut off. Justin had turned off the radio! I smacked him upside the head and fell back into the passenger seat, " Your an ass," I pouted.
Justin chuckles and squeezes my cheeks, "but you love me."
I swat his hand away, " Eyes on the road, Bieber!"
I listen carefully to the pitter-patter of the rain on the car. It just stopped raining and I was more than happy. I just hoped the rain wouldn't start again before we got home.
The highway was empty except for us and the occasional car now and then. " Are we there yet?" I whined.
" Patience, Shaley..." Frankie muttered. I flipped him off and fished for my phone in my purse. I ignored the boys' conversation as I started texting Vivian, my best friend. Suddenly, Justin reached his arm back and slapped Frankie.
Just as that happened, the car swerved onto the next lane. Next thing I know, the rain starts pouring down on us and Justin is screaming, " I can't see anything!"
" Go back to the lane!" Frankie says while leaning forward in his seat to help Justin. I throw my phone back into my purse and start freaking out.
" Go back to the lane!" I scram along with Frankie.
" I can't! I don't know where we are! One wrong move and we'll crash into another car or end up somewhere in a ditch, there's nothing I can do but hope for the best!"
I sat back in the passenger seat and put on my seat belt. I brought my knees up to my chest and stared into the rain. My heart was thumping at a irregular pace.
We're gonna die.
I didn't even flinch. A bright light was coming towards us and a horn was heard.
I put my head in between my legs and felt the impact. It felt like we were flying through the air. Metal against concrete and crunching glass was heard.
Screaming.
An ambulance.
Voices.
Darkness.
