Author's Note
I'm getting so enthusiastic about all of my other fanfictions that I'm neglecting this one. I'm not sorry.

Honestly, this whole thing is just a filler chapter leading up to Chapter 9, which will be totally feels-y. I am going to apologize in advance for what will happen. It shall be quite emotional and very suspenseful.

I am also kind of upset about how short this chapter turned out, but I really wanted to finish this chapter quickly so I could get on to writing the next.

The sun came in through the windows. It pierced through my closed eyes, waking me. I sat up and looked next to me. So it wasn't all a dream. I had actually fallen asleep next to Andy. His hair was messy and disheveled and adorable. I bent over and kissed him on the cheek. His eyes fluttered open, looking to me. "Morning, Andy."

"Morning, Ivy."

I played with his hair as I said, "What do you wanna do today?"

"Do you still wanna meet up with the band?" I nodded, and he said, "Cool. I'll text them the address and they can come over in an hour." We had breakfast in the kitchen together. Despite my stubbornness, Andy persuaded me to actually eat something other than coffee and toast. Time went by very quickly and before I knew it, we were dressed and waiting for the band to arrive. I felt very tense, but I knew Andy wasn't. He was really calm whenever I wasn't. He balanced me out, made me sane.

The doorbell rang.

I stood up to get the door, but Andy insisted he do it. I was kind of glad that he did it for me, because I was very much worried about meeting his friends for the first time. They walked in and Andy introduced me to them. From what I had heard, Jake was out of town, but the other three members of Black Veil Brides were able to make it. Their names were Ashley, CC, and Jeremy, but Jeremy said that he preferred to be called Jinxx. We sat in the living room and I listened to the guys talk about whatever. I tried my best to read them and get a vibe for their personalities. Ashley appeared to be very loud and out-going and, for lack of a better word, pervy. He went on about this girl that he met outside a bar and how hot she was, so I decided to listen to some of the others. CC was hilarious, sort of the joker of the group. He laughed a lot and it was easy to laugh with him. I couldn't figure out Jinxx. He was kind of quiet, so there wasn't much for me to tell.

CC interrupted the conversation between Andy and Ashley and said, "Shit, I'm scheduled for a tattoo in 20. We better leave now if I'm gonna make it. Ivy, you can come with if you want."

"Sounds cool." I grabbed my bag before leaving and locked the house behind us. We piled into two cars, one belonging to Andy and the other to Jinxx. I rode with Andy in his car, along with CC in the backseat. I stared out of the window at the cold blue sky. Bored with the meaningless conversation, I rolled down the window and stuck my head out of it. I had a sudden, short flashback to the end of summer when I was holding my head out of the window in my mom's car. I was so much more naive then. I believed that this year would be different from all the previous school years where I was depressed all the time. I guessed it's kind of the same, but at least now I have someone to talk to. I hadn't had a boyfriend in a long time, so that was different.

The car parked in front of a grimy building facade with a sign dubbing it a legal tattoo parlor. We got out of the car and walked in. The inside didn't look much better than the outside. The floor didn't look clean, and neither did any of the furniture. A tall, tattooed girl walked in from the back room.

She handed a clipboard to CC and said, "Sign in and follow me to the back. The design you wanted with take a little less than an hour." The walls held an array of different tattoo designs, ranging from green Chinese dragons to pin-up girls with vintage-looking swimsuits on to cartoonish characters with garish colors and overly happy faces. There were enough designs to cover an unusually tall and wide person from head to toe in ink. I sat down, preparing for a long wait until CC's tattoo was done. There was an ominous, painful buzzing sound coming from the room where CC went. I could never get a tattoo. I was to scared of needles and getting some awful disease from an infected one.

A sign in the corner of the shop caught my eye. It read in big, bold, black lettering "YOU MUST BE 17 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO GET A PIERCING WITHOUT A PARENT OR GUARDIAN'S PERMISSION". I though to myself, I could get a piercing. I'm 17. Then I remembered how much I hate needles, and was immediately discouraged.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. After looking at the screen, I realized I had gotten a text from Jenny.

Jenny: Hey Ivy! It's Jen. There is a party at my friend's house and I wanted you to come! It's this Friday at 9 pm.

A large part of me wanted to say no, but I didn't want to seem rude. She was very nice to me on the first day, and I didn't have a valid reason to say no.

Ivy: Sure. My house is on the end of Jefferson Circle off Cedar Street. Can you pick me up?

Jenny: Great! I'll pick you up at 9:30. It's a Christmas Party, so dress nice. Like a dress and heels or something. See you Friday!

Ivy: Bye

I wanted to know how she got my number, but that might be an awkward question. She probably just asked that weird lady at the front desk. I closed my phone, anxious and confused about the events that would unfold on Friday.
