The pebbles kept hitting my window pane. Jonah was trying to make me come out of the house.
It was already 1 am and I hadn't slept, yet. I couldn't. Every time I close my eyes I see Jonah and Heather together, laughing, holding hands, kissing.
Jonah had been calling me none stop and texting me to come out and meet him. I was ignoring him. I wasn't angry, I could never get angry at him. Just sad and miserable.
But I guess Jonah couldn't sleep either because he was still throwing pebbles at my window. Asking me to meet him. He has been throwing pebbles at my window for the past hour.
It took every fiber in my bone not to peek out of the window and watch his expression. I hoped he felt miserable just like me.
I buried my head in my pillow and ignored his calls.
It stopped after a while.
Then my phone dinged. It was a text from Jonah.
From Jonah:- Cy I am so sorry I lied to you...I don't even know why I did that...I know I shouldn't have... I guess I didn't want to make you uncomfortable, Heather asked me out and I said yes and idk why but I didn't want you to know...this is a mess. I know you are angry... I am really sorry Cy... Let me make it up to you
From Jonah:- Goodnight Cy... I know you're awake. I am so sorry :(
Forgive me, pleaseI reread the messages over and over again. The tears came harder than the last one, every single time I re-read it.
