"Splendid, now that you have arrived." Sebastian gave a smile which was clearly contrived.
The man just gave him a wink, and walked towards him, "I am Cletus Lorentz. I do not think these two told you anything. If they did, ignore it, they tend to lie. I do wonder if I should just kick them out, but unfortunately, they are family, and you know how infuriating they are." He spoke, giving a tug at his red gloves. He had long blonde hair and hazel, color shifting eyes. He had a broad build, and there seemed to be absolutely zero similarities between him and the other two. No trace of any relation except perhaps the way they all seemed to gravitate towards each other like a team. They appeared very synchronized even with the variations in their expressions going from amusement on Cletus' face to clear indignation on Alexandra's to Sebastian's passive stance.
He wondered if Sebastian was angry. He did seem to have a fragile ego, and he did seem to be an arse who could not handle anybody questioning or mocking his actions. But then again, his behavior had been so erratic the past few hours that he could not accurately deduce the boy's nature
"Hey! That's not true. Perl is the real dumbass here, don't blame me for his mistakes, Kit. It was your good luck that I agreed to this fool's errand with Mister Arrogant here. Your precious brother could not even heal him properly without trying to sabotage the plan or Heavens know what."
Perl? Was there someone else he did not know? This all seemed too complicated for his already traumatized self but he was molded into a tenacious bastard, and he refused to simply faint. How preposterous to even entertain such a thought. He scolded himself. And it appeared as though Cletus was about to scold Sebastian.
"Alexandra." He sighed, and somehow even though she was right, she stopped talking.
This guy, whoever he was, had the utmost respect. Or they feared him enough to put their egos aside.
Cletus looked at Sebastian as he put his hands inside his pockets, "You did something wrong."
Sebastian locked eyes with him, and they looked at each other intently, Cletus with a patient stare and Sebastian's eyes like before were unreadable.
He nodded almost imperceptibly, "Yes."
"You know the consequences."
"Yes."
"Good. You'll take care of our guest then. Do not even try to think about going through with any of your plans. Do not attempt to plan." He said, almost lazily.
The atmosphere was very tense but Sebastian did not think so, and he was grinning at them, flashing his white teeth, "Of course, your Majesty."
Cletus broke into a small laugh at that, "Shut up." And just like that he was dead serious with his penetrating gaze boring into Sebastian's frame.
Then, he turned to him and spread his arms, "Ciaran Gwilym, welcome to my humble abode."
He started. He had not introduced himself. He took special care to not even think about his identity or he was, more for other reasons than being secretive but he did not remember telling them anything about himself.
"Don't worry. That's just Cletus with his ways, he knows about nearly everything." Alexandra spoke as if to assure him his safety, noticing his discomfort.
"Nearly?" Cletus protested, "Nevertheless, that just shows your naivety, trivial as it is now. So, Mister Gwilym, I had you brought here because I would like to do business with you. For now, I think it is better that you recover in peace, and take note of our cordial behavior and the hospitality we offer you in good faith. We are aware of your predicament and the war going on in your world. We are happy to provide a sanctuary to you. I will emphasize that you consider us your friends. This is Alexandra Taylor-Lorentz, and that is Sebastian Perl." He gestured to the two of them.
Alexandra grinned in greeting while Sebastian just stared at him blankly. He really did not know what to make of these strange people, the absurd place, and the way they treated him as someone important--powerful which bewildered him. He came from a rich family from among a thousand. He was nobody special.
Besides, what did he mean his world? Had Sebastian truly tried to kill him? He wondered if he even had a choice. He was skeptical. He did not get much time to mull over as Cletus continued.
"They will be your companions till your loyalties have settled, and your position decided." He paused to scrutinize him, and decided that Ciaran looked disoriented enough for him to stop dumping information on him, "Maybe that is enough for today. You should rest. We will talk in the morning."
"No-" He tried to protest but Cletus interrupted him, already turned away from him. "If you have any questions, ask either of these two. Alexandra, make sure Sebastian heals him properly and fully. After that, you come straight to my office, and Sebastian, you know where to take our lovely visitor. One toe out of line, and you're both off of any missions for a long, long time."
He then swept his cloak, and the room brightened once again, and he was gone. A golden feather fluttering to the ground where he had been standing.
