Ha-Ru loves him back. They both start a new chapter in their lives, thinking their happiness will never end. Thinking they will always stay together, love each other and support each other. Then one day Ha-Ru yells at Kyungsoo for not remembering her birthday, he rushes to a nearby bakery to buy her favorite chocolate cake; saying there is still one hour left to start a new day, but ends dying in an accident.
