So yesterday was my birthday and I decided that I was going to share some things that I use to help me with my art. Please note I'm not a professional artist but I have been doing art for at least 4+ years so Ik some stuff.
First things first:
ART TUTORIALS are your friend. They help tremendously!! Even the rly simple ones.
Second: don't go overboard with a drawing. Yes, art is never finished but that doesn't mean keep adding on things. Know when to stop the worst thing is having a great piece of art and then messing it up cause you put too many things on it.
Third: Draw an hour to three hours a day. It may seem like a lot but it will actually go by very fast.
Fourth: Mistakes are going to happen and that is perfectly okay!!
Final one: Your mentality matters.
What I mean is if you are constantly telling yourself you can't draw to put it simply you aren't.
You don't have to be the most positive person in earth but change your mindset from "I can't" to something more like this: " alright, I'm struggling with this how am I going to get better at it?"
I didn't come up with this but i call it the victor over victim mentality. If you have a goal in mind and are set on it and work hard 9 out of 10 times you are going to achieve that something. However if you are already against yourself from the beginning your chances are now that much lower of succeeding. For some this may be easier than others and that perfectly fine but it's about working through tough things.I hope these help. Oh also if you have questions just put them in the comments. I'll try and help how I can.
