Blackness. I turn my head side to side and can't tell if my eyes are closed or open. I'm levitating and try to move.
As I float around something starts to become visible. A scene. A ...car accident.
Suddenly I drop to what must be the ground and run towards the wreck, a police officer holds me back, "this is a restricted area go back behind the police tape little girl" his voice echos. "No! No! That's my dad! DADDY!" I break free and scramble towards my dad.
His face dirty with a mix of blood, tears, and glass. He looks at me and smiles. He stops blinking. Suddenly the scene changes and dad morphs into my drunk mom who shouts "You did this. HE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!"
I wake up screaming with something clinging to my body which makes me scream more. I proceed to fall out of the bench. Deep huffs force themselves out of my mouth and I look around wildly, with my fists raised, seeing what attacked my face while I was sleeping.
My eyes fall on a soft-looking blue blanket now sprawled across the ground. I narrow my eyes at it. That's funny, I don't remember bringing a blanket. My eyes stay on it for a few more seconds then I sigh and pack it with my other things and head towards Sarah's house.
Why Sarah over Jen?
Well for one, she keeps all the band equipment. Also her parents are chill and basically consider me their own child. And something tells me I'll be seeing a lot more from Danny.
