Jason's POV

Today Kolton is going to the dentist. He'll enjoy that, while I'm going to Tristan's house with Savi. She can't hold grudges, she forgives you no matter what she's angry at you for, she also likes going to pools. At Tristan's house we usually swim in his pool all day, so both Savi and I are bringing our swimwear.

We let ourselves in and go up to Tristan's room, most of the time the house is empty besides himself, with his parents always away on buisness, so we usually get to be as reckless and crazy as we want to be.

Today I was planning on introducing Savi to my friends, but last minute nerves were not helping me. To put it simply, I'm protective. Savi has that quality that makes everyone want to protect her, not because she's stupid or incapable of standing her own ground, but because she radiates. People care about her. I'm worried that my friends are going to flirt, dump, and hate on her once they are through, I've seen it happen before.

Bracing myself, I open the door, there I found my friends Tristan, Gabe, Ryan, and Aaron. Tristan was showing off his new car and pointing out the window, and the rest of them were either half listening or scrolling through his phone and laughing at his pictures.

If I had to choose the biggest flirt, I'd pick Gabe. He really knows how to use his charm and green eyes on girls, though something tells me that it won't work on Savi. I smile at that thought.

Aaron is not a player, unlike Tristan, Gabe, and Ryan, he simply is just like the rest of us, but he seems to fit in the most. His mom died from cancer when he was twelve and that may be one of the reasons that he's not as self-assured as the rest of us.

"Hey, Tristan!" Savi hugs him, it used to annoy him as a five-year-old, not so much any more. Gabe gives her a once-over and smiles.

"So, this is your sister. What's her name?" Gabe confidently said, trying to look important.

"Ehem, his sister's name is Savannah, call me Savi," Savi tells them, with a bright smile.

"There's the hermit that's always stuck in her room," Ryan says, she blushes and retreats into a corner, true to her nickname.

"Hey, why don't we go for a swim?" I suggest, trying to change the subject for Savi's sake. She hates awkward situations and they make her shy. I try to joke around to make her more comfortable.

Savi went up to her room, left her stuff there and went down to the pool,(it's not actually her room, she just personalized it and uses it when we are here). Today was going to be interesting, I can feel it.

Savannah's POV

I ran to the pool deck and found Gabe making teams of two.

I walk over to Gabe and ask, "Are we playing chicken?" I figured.

He leans in and smirks, "what else would we be doing?" he told me pointing to Aaron and Jason, fighting over who will be on who's shoulders. I roll my eyes and turn to Tristan's direction.

"Who's team am I on?" I ask Tristan, no response, so I poke him in the chest.

"Tristan, dear?" I ask him again, sarcasticly, still no response. I find a pen on the patio table and poke the inside of his ear with it. While he was lecturing/yelling at me for sticking a pen in his ear, I look at what he was doing. Turns out, he was reading texts from a girl, a girl named Tori.

Hope you can come to our pig roast

"Aw, does someone have a crush?" I nudge his shoulder smirking.

" Shut up!" He admits, cheeks ablaze. I give him a knowing look and walk over to the edge of the pool where the boys are having a water fight without me. Boys simply can't stay in one spot for too long, I think to myself, shaking my head.

I take a couple steps back and run into the pool, making a big splash, by the time I surfaced I noticed Lexi, Tristan's next door neighbor coming over.

"Hey, are you playing chicken with us?" I call to her, she is one of my friends that Tristan is familliar with

Tristan finally put down his phone told me I'd be teamed up with Gabe for the first round.

"Okay, so the rules are the following: "Knock the other team's fighter off the person holding him/her to win, remember push don't punch." Tristan told us, giving Gabe a pointed look.

"Wait, we have an uneven number of people, someone has to sit out" Aaron said, and after thinking about it said, "actually I'll sit out this round." He announced sitting onto one of the lawn chairs.

With that settled, after assembling ourselves, we started the first round, Lexi and Tristan against Gabe and me.

Jason shouted,

"Ready!"

"Set!!"

"Go!!!"
