Chapter13: Team Mutant: Trial Boss

I'll remind you that Team Mutant is: Shoji, Toru, Mina and Tokoyami and Cementoss

Team Mutant was met with a spherical creature. It had a large mouth with sharp, pointy teeth. Tentacles with eyes that were oval-shaped sprouted from it's head. It's entire body is covered jagged spikes. One large eye opened right above the mouth.

"What the hell is that?!" Mina shouted. The thing roared, drenching everyone in spit. "Disgusting." Toru whined. "That is the Beholder. The first trial boss." Cementoss explained. "We have to defeat that thing!?!" Mina said, starting to get scared.

The beast, now named the Beholder, started to charge his large eye with yellow energy. "Watch out!!" Shoji shouted. Everyone leapt out of the way seconds before the laser was fired. Cementoss used his quirk and made a rocky wall for cover. The Beholder started to shoot lasers from the it's eyes. "How are we going to beat this thing?" Tokoyami asked. "Use your quirks and try to find it's weak spot." Cementoss instructed. Everyone nodded and ran in separate directions and started attacking the beast.

Mina splattered her acid across the side of the Beholder. It stopped for a second and turned towards her. It extended one of it's tentacles and wrapped it around Mina's waist and threw her at the wall. Mina screamed as she hit the stone wall.

Shoji extended his arms and made fists at the end. He ran around, punching each of the tentacle eyes. With no luck, Shoji retreated back to the wall Cementoss had made earlier. When he was less than a foot away, the Beholder shot 3 lasers at his back, paralyzing him.

'Third time's the charm.' Tokoyami thought as Dark Shadow  started headbutting random places. The Beholder had no reaction to any of the attacks until Dark Shadow rammed himself into the main eye. It roared and closed it's main eye. Tokoyami collected Mina and ran back to the wall of rocks that Cementoss made.

"The eye in the center. That is it's weak spot." Tokoyami informed. Cementoss was continuously using his to reinforce the wall from Beholder's giant laser.

Cementoss was getting tired. He had been continuously using his quirk for an hour with no rest. He was covering the entire team with a dome while the Beholder was shooting lasers. "We have to find a way to cause significant damage in order to defeat that thing." Shoji informed the others of possibilities to defeat it.

"You guys will have to hurry. I'm getting really tired over here." Cementoss said while starting to struggle to keep up the protection. The Beholder started to bash the dome Cementoss had created to protect his team. If the Beholder keeps throwing itself at it, there will be no dome to protect the teens and teacher.

"I have an idea. Tokoyami, you will use Dark Shadow to wrap around the middle of the beast. Make sure to do it vertically and stay away from the eyes. Toru, I will boost you onto it's back. After that, you'll pull me up. I will cover the tentacle eyes so it won't hurt you guys. Mina will then spray her acid to weaken the main eye. After, Mr. Cementoss will pierce the eye." Everyone nodded in understanding of Shoji's plan.

After everyone was in their places, Shoji gave the signal to start the plan. Tokoyami used Dark Shadow to restrain the Beholder. Shoji then boosted Toru onto the beast. After she was on it safely she helped Shoji get up. Shoji used his quirk and blocked the sight of the tentacle eyes. "Mina, NOW!!" Shoji shouted. Mina sprayed her acid. The creature roared in pain. Cementoss took this opportunity to pierce the beast's eye. The Beholder roared and screeched in pain. It then dissolved revealing a upside down prism. It floated down to Cementoss.

"We did it. We got the prism." Cementoss said happily. They then tried to leave the mountain.

They were in a room mid-way to lava. No stairs or anything.

When they walked out the door, Mina nearly fell into the lava, but Tokoyami caught her. "How are we going to leave?" Mina questioned.

"Need a lift?" The team looked up to see a man in the helicopter.
