*Katy's POV
Monday. A new day, a new chance . New experiences, new things. I usually see it as a mourn day because of school. But thanks for school for giving me a reason to see him everyday.
I feel gloomy, happy, but somewhat sad. Maybe because I wasn't sure if Raven got the same feeling for me. But I'll work hard for that. I'll fix my looks, make him laugh, comfortable, or whatever it may take. I prepared myself before going downstairs. It's only 6:28. I'm pretty early. I really made it early so mom nor Randy won't have to ring that bell.
"morning mom!" I greeted mom who's busy frying things. Which smell ,,, Delicious! I felt a gaze on me and I checked it out. I saw dad staring at me. "morning dad" I gave him my sweetest smile. "I thought you forgot about me" he smirked. Oh so that's what he's staring for? "just slightly" I joked while describing how little it does with my fingers and showed him my joking face. He just laughed and went back on reading.
"so, what's up mom? What's that scent that keep luring my nostrils?" I closed my eyes as I followed the smell of... Fried chicken? I opened my eyes and.. "fried chicken?" my eyes blown wide and mom just laughed at me. We barely had rice during morning. Mom is always up on preparing toasted breads, pancakes, porridge, cereals, and so on.
" help me prepare the table darling" mom grinned as she began making the gravy.
"sure thing" I took three plates, spoons and forks. I can't help my self but to dance while placing the plates on the table. I pulled three chairs. ready for them to sit on.
"are you inspired honey?" dad finally noticed what's up with me. "nope." I lied. Popping the p of that word. "that's an obvious lie!" mom placed the chickens on the table and leaned on the chair. "I'm just happy!" I avoided eye contact with them.
"rea-" mom begun but I cutted her off. "mom, thanks for this breakfast!" I grinned and grab a chicken and hungrily ate it. They both laughed and finally stopped questioning me.
I gathered my things and made my way to Randy's house. His car isn't on the driveway. I checked his garage but it's close. I knocked on his door anyway. After a while and a while more of knocking, there's no such response. Maybe he's already in school. Why did he forget about me? I tried to dial his number but I keep ending up with his voice mail. I went back in our house and asked dad to drive me. I wish Raven will happen to think of me and pick me up. But I don't want to keep that hope.
"I thought that job is no longer assigned on me?" he gave me that confused look. "Randy has already made his way to school." I lazily explained. "okay" dad somehow didn't manage to ruin my mood and just took the car keys. I gave my mom a good bye and so did dad by giving him a quick kiss.
We made our way to the school and I saw Raven waiting in the gate. I went out of the car the sooner that it stopped and told dad to take care.
"hey" he pulled me in a tight hug. "hello, you're pretty early!" I pulled out from his warm hug and gave him my legendary smirk . "so do you, where's Randy anyway? I really expected him to drive you that's why I didn't bothered to pick you up" his smile faded while giving me those concerned cutie hazel eyes of him. "he isn't here yet? His car is no longer in the driveway so I thought he's already here!"
"calm down, maybe he's earlier than me and is now inside." he took my hand and rubbed it. We started walking when I forced myself to think that he does. This is so unusual. He'll always care about me. That's how I knew him. October is almost ending and I've already known him that much. I guess.
I went on my locker and took my history book when Ellie and Becky came. "hello my lovely kitty!" Ellie surprised me with a keys. "what is that?" I asked her while taking a step back. "I got my own car now!" she giggled. My eyes widened and just grinned. "Lucky you! When will I get mine?" I uttered with an obvious jealousy on my face. " well, I think charming will work. It worked on my parents!" her smile grew wider and Becky just laughed at us so I joined. "maybe I will" I paused. "soon. " I continued and closed my locker.
"where's Randy anyway? We met Raven outside busy with his other friends" Becky stared at me. But I began walking. "I don't even know" I simply said. "why you don't know? You should be together" Ellie giggled.
They both began walking too and when I reached the history room I finally stopped. "maybe he's here" I opened the door hoping that he really does. But he doesn't. " we're together in this class. Maybe a little while more" I faked a smile and the bell rang. They both left and I took the seat in the middle so I could listen to the teacher somehow. I hate being in front in my history class.
The students began multiplying but he isn't coming yet. I waited for a while more and texted him.
"you better hurry up or you'll be late. You hate your butt being twisted right?"
I've sent the message and the door finally opened. I patiently stared at the door when moments suddenly been slow motioned. Seconds feel like hours. Wide and wider the door opened. It isn't him. My heart began racing. Reaching out from my ribs. I'm having some bad feeling. Maybe he just went back home. Or he went to her mom last night. Or maybe he went somewhere else.
I can't think straight. Sweats are forming in my forehead and I keep wiping them away. I pulled out some paper and a pen from my bag. I keep staring at it. I couldn't hear anything but I still can feel. Somebody nudged me. I looked out, its Martha. I just know her first name. We aren't that close. She pointed me our teacher who's looking at me with a narrowed brows.
"Katy, this will be the last time I'll ask you this. what is the meaning of the 50 stars in our flag?" so he's already asked me before? The crowd's attention went on me.
"ah..ahm .. The 50 countries of America? Or nation? Or ahhh ..ah.. I... I don't know ma'am." I stuttered. And looked at the ground. After then, I sat down without her order and once again been deaf. The bell rang and Randy never came.
I went on my English class. This time I have Ellie and Becky with me. They both paid attention to our subject while I'm left puzzled. I keep playin my hands. I don't know what to think. What to expect. This Randy is driving me crazy.
My last subject came where Raven and I is going to meet. I told him how I feel and he said just relax. That he's old enough. That he can take care of himself, that there's nothing for me to worry about. He somehow relieved me.
The day went by and I enjoyed it. I always enjoy being with Raven. He drove me home and I kissed him on the cheek. "thanks" I smiled and he smirked back. I hope that'll give him a clue. That I like him. Randy told me that Raven is good. That I have nothing to worry about. Speaking of Randy...
I rushed to my room and quickly changed my clothes and I fixed myself a bit before going outside to check for Randy. I knocked on his door again but no ones responding.
I decided to check the back door and it isn't locked. "Oh God, thanks!" I whispered to myself.
I went to the living room and I saw his phone in the sofa. He's here! I quickly ran upstairs and knocked to his door. There is no response but I still opened it.
I saw him lying on the floor with his glass broken with the water splattered on the ground.
"Oh God Randy!!!" I ran to him and shook him but he isn't waking up! He's skin is so hot like you can fry an egg.
"Randy!!" I once again tried to wake him up.
