I Missed You: Harry Styles One Shot

It’s been officially 4 weeks into the boy’s Europe tour. This means 2 weeks to go. I’ve been dating Harry for about a year and a half now. And honestly, I’ve never been more in love with someone. The best days were the ones we spent in bed watching our favorite Disney movies, looking as socially unacceptable as possible. We had done everything together and everyone has been telling me how much happier and just better I am with him around. The boys constantly made fun of us for our cute couple moments, and many pictures of us were online because of them. But still, I didn’t really care.

Without Harry to occupy my time, I’ve spent most of the last month of my life missing him, spending time with the rest of the 1D girlfriends, going to work and making the most of my time alone in our flat. And that mostly includes blasting music so loudly it could knock down walls, being in sweatpants 90% of the time, eating whatever I want, whenever I want and basically doing whatever passes through my mind. I had never been one of those clingy girlfriends, but I missed Harry more than ever. The best technique was to try and just forget it.

On this particular Saturday afternoon, I had just walked through the door of our shared flat having just finished work. I walked straight to my bedroom, completely ignoring Harry’s side of the bed and made my way to the closet, where I whipped my hair into a ponytail and pulled on my comfiest sweats with one of Harry’s t-shirts. I pulled fluffy socks over my feet before walking into the kitchen.

I put the tea on the kettle before grabbing a block of cheese from the fridge. I was having craving for some cheese. No judging. I skipped into the living room before turning onto the TV. To my horror, the pretty blonde host with unnatural looking eyes was talking about you-guessed-it One Direction. I flicked the TV off, before turning on the stereo. I pressed shuffle as ‘Want U Back’ by Cher Lloyd blasted through the room.

“AWE YEAH. THIS IS MY SONG.” I screamed over the music to the empty flat. I screamed/sang along to the lyrics before jumping on the couch and playing every air instrument imaginable while holding my air microphone and dancing stupidly… All at once. Pretty soon, the song changed and I could hear my kettle screaming from the kitchen. Still dancing, I made my way to the stove.

As I poured tea into the cup, I heard the front door opening. My eyes widened in terror. My stomach dropped and my toes started to curl. I fixed the hair out of my face and creeped out into the living room, ready to pounce on whoever was crawling around my flat. If I do say so myself I looked pretty ferocious.

When I finally made into the middle of the room, my heart started to race. Someone had turned out the lights, as well as my music. Wanting to seem larger and scarier than I actually was, I jumped into what could only be considered ‘a puma stance’ and started to swivel around the room. In the corner of the dark room, I heard a loud snort followed by a slapping sound. I narrowed my eyes in the direction of the sound, for some reason I wasn’t half as scared anymore.

“Looking pretty scary, hey love?” A voice asked.

No. Way. No way. This could not be happening. Without thinking I launched myself in the voice’s direction, not caring if I was going to land on the floor or not. But deep inside I knew I wouldn’t. I knew exactly who the voice was.

I felt arms wrap around my waist, and catch me as I slammed myself into him. We quickly lost our balance as we fell to the floor, with me landing on top of him. I gazed down at his face, burying my hands in his head full of curls, and smiling at the face I had missed so much. Our legs automatically tangled together as we lay here on the floor. He grabbed the sides of my face, and brought my forehead down to meet his.

“I missed you so much.” He whispered.

“You have no idea.” I said back. I barely had time to take a breath before our lips were slammed together in a passionate kiss. We spent the rest of the night showing just how much we missed each other.

Best. Surprise. Ever.
