(Lonnie's pov)

suddenly everything started to shake. but not like the previous times but really ten times as hard. the light went out, everything on the walls was now on the ground. trees fell. we just got up to get food when everything started shaking. everyone fell to the ground, or could just grab something that didn't fall off the wall. after ten minutes it was over.

Jay quickly walked up to me and asked, "are you okay?"

" I am okay." I said quickly when I saw his worried face.

after we knew everyone okay.
Jane said: "what is happening here, people will really die again if it goes on like this."

and she was right ...

"I think we've already reached that point, look at all that damage." evie said.

"everything is broken." Ben said sad.

at that moment the guards came in who work for me to make sure everything is okay. one of the guards wanted to say something, but ben interrupted him.

"lonnie no, Jay is right. I'm not going to send you there alone." said Ben.

"then I'll go with you." said Mal.

What!? have you gone crazy I'm not going to let you go to China. "said Ben.

" no, I haven't gone mad. me and lonnie are going to china. lonnie what's the fastest way to get there? "asked Mal."

with this earthquake? then you're the fastest and safest on horseback. "Lonnie said.

"Mal have you ever ridden a horse?" I asked.

"no but once must be the first time." Mal said.

"Okay, we'll leave in 1 hour, then we'll be at my parents' house tonight and we can spend the night there, and return the next morning." I said.

then we meet at the stables in 1 hour. i said.

and walked towards my room while Jay followed me. when we almost got to my room i asked jay,

when I opened the door of the dorm I saw that everything was mixed up and on the ground.

"ohh no ohh no" I exclaimed.

I ran to my closet and happily saw that the box containing my mother's necklace was still intact.

"fortunately it is still intact." I said.

while Jay sat next to me and asked was it was.

" what is that?" jay asked.

"It's my mother's necklace that I got when I went here," I explained.

when i was packing my things jay suddenly said,

"please be careful. i don't want anything to happen to you.

i walked up to him and said," i promise i will be careful. you're not rid of me yet. "i said laughing.

jay put me on his lap and kissed me. i kissed right back. when we stopped kissing i said"

you really don't have to worry.

"" I know with all those earthquakes it's just dangerous. Jay said.

" I know. but I can really watch myself. " i said.

I know." jay said, laughing.

I got off his lap and put the toughest things in my bag. when I finished I saw that we still had twenty minutes before I had to go. so I sat around my bed with Jay and cuddeld him. after 15 minutes I said:

come we have to go or else we'll be late. I said laughing.

because he is always late.

" Okay." he said.

when he let go of me. when we arrived at the stables, Mal and Ben were already there. When me and Mal were on our horses and we had done a practice round for Mal who got on very quickly. we said goodbye to ben and jay.

" be careful." Ben said.

" always." I said.

i said goodbye to jay and then we went on our way to china.
