"No, Ika, don't please!" Meliodas ran over to his sister who was busy electrocuting Elizabeth with the last of his strength, falling on his knees while clinging onto her. "I understand now!" The younger yelled, grip becoming even tighter. His sentence made the female freeze. Even if it was just for a second, a bit of shine glossed over Ikari's eyes. "I...I finally get why you betrayed Dad!" As if this was gonna stop her.

And, yet, it did. Ikari groaned, hand clutching her chest. This wasn't good. Nothing was when it involved at least one of the siblings.

She took a few steps back, delicate ears ringing. Sweat dropped down her forehead, breath hitching. Her eyes felt heavy, knees shaking as her legs struggled to hold her own body weight. Despite that, she felt light, soon seeing nothing but black without even realizing it.

The Seven Deadly Sins all stood in the room accompanied by a tied up Nagisa, Meliodas sitting next to Ikari's bed and holding her limp hand. Even till this day, her body burned like the sapphire sun.

Thought it was unbelievable, Purgatory was having snow fall from its sky. It was cold, too cold. The blonde stood beside the black haired girl like he always had, hands being intertwined as her red scarf was wrapped around his neck. "Ika?" he called out, a question on his mind. "Yes, my dearest brother, what is it?" She was always joking around with a big smile on her face. That was probably where he got it from once he got his emotions back. "How come, no matter how cold it is, you're hands are always so warm?" Meliodas had a lot of questions for her back then, mind being naturally curious about things he didn't understand. "Because my heart will always be warm: for you, and our brothers." He didn't understand at the time, but he liked her answer nonetheless. Meliodas smiled with a dusted blush on his cheeks. To be honest, he didn't even care if she responded or answered any of his questions. Just being with her and seeing her smile...that was enough.

If he could go back in time, he would. If he still had the knowledge of what he did now, he would have supported Ikari's betrayal. Meliodas shivered at the thought, resting his forehead on his sibling's hand.

Numerous people thought they were too close for comfort, but what do you expect when you only had each other to trust? Everybody else looked for power while Ika and Mel were just looking forward to life. Meliodas never really wanted to be the Leader of the Ten Commandments. He just wanted to be strong like his sister. If only...if only he understood back then.

"What are we gonna do with her?" Ban asked the question no one else had the balls too, Merlin eyeing the Captain's back. "Yeah, Captain, we can't just let her-"

"Shut up." Mel interrupted King's sentence, voice becoming deeper, "Anybody touch her-" he glared, demon mark on his forehead while his eyes had dulled, "and I'll kill you." The Sins were shocked. This girl had just tried to kill them, but here he was protecting her.

"Have you lost your mind?" Escanor was still in pride mode, carrying his battle axe over his shoulder. "No." Meliodas answered, looking back at his sister, "She's one of my own so...I can't really kill her off."

"What do you mean?" Merlin had known Meliodas the longest, but she had no idea about Ikari. She was probably sealed when Merlin and her brother had met. Not to mention, Merlin had met him while he was the leader of the Ten Commandments.

Meliodas sighed, knowing he had to explain, "She's my older sister. Ikari, Leader of the first generation of Commandments, cursed with the Commandment of Sin." gasps echoed around the room. Ban only looked at the girl, taking in her delicate features. Though, it took him a while, he made the connection. Her looks were closer to Zeldris', but she still fit the category.

"Alright, that solves one question." Merlin clapped, "If I may, can I ask why Nagisa said you sealed and betrayed them?" The blonde flinched at the question, the statement hitting him deep in his heart. It wasn't as if he denied what he did, it just hurt to talk about it.

"Because I did do that. So, please understand where Ika's coming from." The grip tightened on his sister's hand, his right hand intertwining with hers, "It's not her fault." Before he could fully comprehend what he was feeling, tears fell from his dazzling green eyes. Meliodas brought Ikari's hand to his lips, placing a sweet soft kiss to the back. The blonde rubbed his cheek against the white soft skin, desperate for her warmth. There was so much regret...so much guilt.

The others could only stand there with their backs against the wall, watching the heart breaking reunion of the two siblings. That's what they were; siblings. Not even Elaine and King were as close as this. There were boundaries to how close these two could be..right?

"God, you are such a baby." The pale hand let go of Meliodas', cupping his cheek instead after wiping away his tears. That was useless though since the action was only followed by more water falls. "Sis." the younger sobbed, burying his face in the sheets. Ikari only smiled warmly, lying on her side and curling towards her brother, rubbing his head.

Ban and King's eyes widened. Now, they knew what Meliodas was talking about. Yes, they were busy fighting off Ikari's stray spells (How else were Merlin, Ban, and Escanor not mentioned?) but they did hear when Meliodas called them out on 'acting'. They saw through the gateway to her heart.

As if the saying was slapping them in the face, her eyes told them everything. How much she loved her brother. How much she adored him. Yet, that wasn't all that had them star struck. That heart of hers...
