8,000 years ago, war raged with the Demon Realm. The war was inevitable really. The Demon King was revolting to even be near for the teen.
Ah, that's right. It was her sixteenth birthday when it happened. Her father pulled her away, dragging her to his private quarters. "Hey, Pops?" the female's call was only met with a cheerful smile. The Demon King put his hands on his eldest's shoulders, "Ikari, my dearest child! You're finally two years from taking my place!" The god seemed happy about it;too happy. "Yes, father, your point?" By how formal she sounded, anyone could tell she was uncomfortable. "It's the perfect time to kill your brothers!"
"What?" Ikari couldn't believe what she was hearing. Were her ears deceiving her? "It'll be fine~." Her father cood, "Daddy'll take care of all the obstacles in your way so nobody could ever take your rightful spot from you." His majesty cupped the female's pale, soft cheeks, quite enjoying the look of terror on her face. "No...I-I don't want it." Just like a deer in front of headlights, her eyes were wide as her body became numb. "Hm?" the male tilted his head, rough thumb rubbing the piece of flesh, "My, whatever do you mean?"
8,000 years later, the memory still haunted her. He knew her brothers were everything to her. The amounts of effort and treasures precious to her that she threw away for them was ridiculously absurd. And yet she did it. If it meant throwing away the throne she yearned for just to have them by her side, she'd do it. And that's what she did.
Two days after the haunting conversation, she talked to the rest of the Commandments about it. "So, are you gonna go through with it?" A white haired male blinked, sitting on a chair backwards and hugging the back.
(That's him btw.)
"Of course not, Zoro!" Ikari was buzzed. Not drunk, buzzed. She was still gonna remember everything in the morning. "But what about your throne?" He groaned, knowing that he was gonna have to deal with her like a five year old later. "I don't need it." Ika frowned, eyes showing the vast space of thoughts in her mind. "You do." Zoro persisted. He couldn't lie to her. Not just because it was against his commandment but because she was his friend.
"No i-""With all due respect, Princess, but I agree with Zoro-nii on this one." A dark haired female with emotionless eyes popped up at the table, hands in her pockets. "Not you too, Ziena!" Ika whined, forehead banging against the table.
"Think about it. If you become Demon King, it'll help all of us out a bunch. The demons will finally be set on the right path, your brothers will have a lot more freedom-"
"How am I supposed to grant them freedom if they're dead?" Ikari looked up at the girl who sighed, head still on the table. "I'm getting there. Britannia and Purgatory could live in peace, we could actually have allies in the Fairy and Giant region. Not to mention, you already surpassed your father if you get what I mean."
Ikari's eyes widened, the connection sparking, "The spell of Reincarnation.." there were two versions of this spell. The one where you curse the person and it will actively be automatic. Or the one where you just do it once and if they die again, they just die. "Or the spell of Eternal Life if we make it in time." Ziena smiled, crossing her arms. "By the way, Z, I've been wanting to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Are you dating Meliodas?"A blush went onto Ziena's face, posture tensing, "Hell no, what the fuck!!" She yelled, causing a creepy smirk to appear on Ika's face. "You loooooove him."
"You two did seem close at Ikari's birthday party." A black haired male pointed out, fiddling with the straw in his glass. "Shut up, Lucifer!" Ziena yelled at the Commandment of Piety.
Lucifer sighed, "Whatever, it's none of my business." He then looked away, eyes looking as sad as ever. "Lucyyyy," Ika cood, walking over to him and back hugging him, "thank you for backing me up." a blush secretly flushed his face, hand overlapping with hers. "I'm happy to be of service, Princess."
Ikari smiled, stress leaping off her shoulders. It wouldn't last though. She knew that frightening fact. And, what scared her the most?
Was The Way Her Brothers Would Look At Her.
