Chapter Five

It's been two weeks since Elijah went missing. I was released from bed rest and the school dorms were allowed but were under heavy security. I made some friends. Brittany ,Eleanor, and now frenemies, Alexander. The kidnapping of my brother was classified so no one but my family ,Micheal ,and the government knew. There was no news on the search yet, but I believe it's because they never checked beyond the forest. The forest was barely mentioned because anyone who went beyond it , never came back out. No bodies, nothing. "What ya doin' nerd", Alex (Alexander) said over my shoulder. I quickly shut my journal but it was too late. He looked at me. "Why didn't you tell us?" His once playful tone disappeared and was repealed by a worried and stern one. A side I thought I'd never see of him. "I-",I tried to complete my sentence but broke down instead. Micheal and Britt came rushing into the room. Micheal pushed Alex to the side and kneeled next to me whispering in my ear that well find him. I looked up. "What do you mean 'w-we'll f-find him' *hic*"I said suspiciously. Britt spoke this time. "We- as in us- will find your brother is what he means." I looked at him wide eyed. Micheal had the abilities of teleportation and telepathy. He could speak to people in his head which is another reason why he was one of the few who knew about Elijah. Another reason is that he holds an extremely important spot in the government despite being so young. His parents were murdered at the Magic Council's annual gala while headed back from the balcony. He then took there place as one of the fifty upholders of the government. "I have a pass and so do you. I can teleport them out of here as soon as I get to the forest. Britt and I came up with a plan already,"he said. "But when are we-"Alex started. Micheal cut him off. "Tonight."
