QUICK RECAP
Ok. Les backtrack to five minutes ago. As you know, I was having a convo/argument about what my relationship with Micheal was with Britt and Aaron. We heard rustling in the trees and we all turned and I backed up. That's.....the most I remember from five minutes ago. We're currently trying to get Aaron to hurry up on activating a teleported s cube and Micheal testing out a lock pick thing he saw online.
...................................................Present time...................................................
"Got it" whispered Micheal. My handcuffs made specifically for runaway mages fell to the floor with a loud clink. I cringed. "Come out come out..... you'll be in less trouble if you come out of your own accord you know......."
"Aaron are you done?!" I was getting impatient. "It's no good! The cubes dead! We forgot to charge it!"he said. You could almost feel the panic. The mage catcher rounded the corner and saw us. "No time!"I yelled. We ran as fast as we could in the other direction. "Oh god," I whispered. We were cornered. The only way out was jumping of a cliff, which had a promising outcome of falling around 800 feet to certain death. "
I've got you now..."the mage catcher let out a maniacal laugh that sent shivers down my spine.
"What now?!" Britt yelled frantically. 'Only one thing to do.......' I thought. "Guys," I said. They all looked at me. "Do you trust me?"I said.
Micheal's eyes widened. "You don't mean..?" I nodded. "Hold each other's hands!" I yelled. Everyone clapped hands. I locked hands with Britt and Micheal while Aaron was in Britt's other side. I took a deep breath. 'Here goes nothing,' I thought. "ONE." Aaron realized what was going one. "WHAT THE HELL?! ARE YOU CRAZY," he said. "TWO." Britt caught on. "WERE GONNA DIE!"she shrieked. "THREE." I pulled us off the edge. We fell down , down, down. The only audible sounds the mage catcher's loud "NOOO" and my friends shrieking.
'What now?!' Micheal mind whispered.
'Ready to find out my power?' I thought back.
He turned to face me.
'Yup.'
"FLY" I yelled. We stopped falling.
"No way..." Britt whispered.
"You have.... law?!" Aaron said shocked. I smiled. I tilted my head to the side. We turned and flew in that direction. "This cave should suffice as shelter for the night. Who wants to make the magic boundaries?"I said.
Micheal went to the entrance to the cave and drew a Magic circle with his finger in the air. A bridge of light built it self plank by plank to the ꭾꮭꮰꮧጀፚꮑꮑ(zcuu-val-eer) forest, the forest a couple hundred feet away. He then drew the magic boundaries. The drawing of Magic Boundaries is extremely complex, those of extreme practice being able to channel magic into the tips of their finger. If you draw it wrong it corrects itself using 80% of your stamina which is something we couldn't risk. Micheal on the other hand, is able to draw it perfectly being that he practiced since a young age, which is no shock since he works with the government.
"Done."
"Ok. So we should set up camp over here. And we all know that some dreams are visions, so after we wake up we share ALL dreams that we remember from tonight,"I said.
"ALL dreams? Even w-" "NO,"I cut Aaron off. Him and Britt were setting up a few tents farther down the cave.
"I'm gonna go help,"said Micheal. He got up to go and fix the other tents.
I got up to follow him but stopped short. I squinted my eyes to see where a faint light was coming from but to no avail. I crept farther into the cave. "Ummmmm.. guys?"I said nervously.
"Hmm?"Britt said, never looking away from her tent.
"I.... don't think this is a cave..... I think it's an entrance.. to a corridor,"I said.
Aaron Micheal and Britt dropped everything they were doing and rushed over. "That's no random sign!"Britt exclaimed.
"Well what is it?"Aaron said, turning to face her. She face palmed. "Don't you ever pay attention to history?!"she said clearly annoyed. "Um no, in case you haven't noticed I'm the school delinquent,"he said smugly. "I see it now..."Micheal murmured. "See?!"Britt said excitedly.
"Sooo.. ya gonna fill us in?" I said impatiently.
"That's the sign of the rebellion.... but that makes no sense! They're from the Mythics empire! The enemy! Unless..."Micheal pondered. "We have a spy,"he concluded.
I stopped, trying to process what he just said. That made no sense! The Probers are supposed to inspect everyone in the school! Unless.. the probes are in on this?! This isn't good.. not good at all... they probably saw our plan since they inspect our thoughts every night before we go!
Oh no.. that means that's where all the supplies went in the past few days from the storage! And this is probably their network!
"This is bad.."Aaron said ,coming to the same conclusion as me.
"..should be down here.."said a voice from down the corridor. I'm pretty sure we had one thought.
'Oh no'.
The owners of the voices came into view and stopped short at the sight of us.
"Oooooh... boss is gonna be real happy."
We turned no words spoken and ran.
"THE BOUNDARIES ARE BROKEN,"Micheal yelled. We ran faster towards the edge of the cave.
"WERE GONNA FALL AND DIE!"Britt yelled. "TRUST ME"Micheal yelled back. We ran and... ran off the edge off the cave. "KEEP GOING!"Aaron literally screamed. I returned as I ran only to see the light bridge Micheal built before crumbling. We ran and ran and then.. the front of the bridge gave.
This is it. We're gonna fall. We're gonna die. I didn't even get to save him yet! I can't give up!
"COME ON. JUMP CHLOÉ." I couldn't. "TAKE THE DAMN LEAP OF FAITH."
I jumped. And.. landed. On solid ground. "NO TIME LETS GO."
I got up and ran to catch up, the enemy on our tails. "BRITT! USE THE WIND TO LIFT US."
I saw her panic. She's never lifted people before. She stopped and raised her hands. "Take me Up." We rose. We all let out breaths. "Alright now to figure out," Micheal said with a voice of finality. "Who's the spy?"
