-Introduction-

Skylar Allen Parker, also known as Sunflower or Sunny. She always had something Sunflower related tied to her. Whether it was the color of her sweater or a sunflower pin in her hair, she was Sunflower, nicknamed by her mother who called her Flower. She was raised with two older brothers, always feeling protected, always getting the worse end of the hand-me-downs.

Her eldest brother, Jaxson aka Jax, was slightly more protective over her. He was the one who would move her away from boys and scare them off, being the quarterback and all, that was pretty easy. He always hated it when the football team flirted with her. All of them, except for two, flirted with her. The two that didn't, were her brothers.

Clayton, aka Clay, was second in command with the siblings. He was kicker, not the best, and probably the worst. He was good at it though. He was with the head Mathematician, Emmalyn. She was the smartest in the entire school. Emmalyn and Clayton were in the same grade as Jax, though they were a year younger. Now, let's get back to our ray of sunshine, Skylar.

She met him in 7th Grade, French 1. Skylar only saw him as a friend. They hung out a few times, slowly becoming closer. When people asked if they were dating, they responded with the "just friends" card, though we all know there was chemistry. In 8th Grade, everything changed. For better or for worse, no one knows.

-Actual Story-

It was a warm summer day, the last day in fact. Our Sunflower was getting ready in high waisted shorts and a loosely tucked in yellow tee shirt with cuffed sleeves. She slid on her classic black and white Nike's and put a Sunflower pin in her hair, keeping the right side of her hair pinned behind her ear. She grabbed her phone before riding her blue sunflower skateboard out of the house to meet her Baseball Boy at the park a few blocks down.

"Hey Baseball Boy." He teased as she picked up her skateboard, approaching him. "Hey Sunny, ready for the last day of summer before we have two semesters of hell together?" Baseball Boy said in a joking tone. "Ready as I'll ever be!" She laughed as they began walking around. This was how most of their summer was spent, hanging out, dating but not. They spent every waking moment together while her brothers were at another summer of Athletic Camps. She would watch Baseball Boy's games and root for him, wearing his team's colors, red and blue. She even got her own #38 jersey and sits in the dugout when he's on the field.

"What's the play for today?" The Baseball Boy asked his small Sunflower as she swung on the yellow sunflower swing she painted. "What about Icecream from the Twistie Treat we usually go to?" She wanted some confirmation. "Sounds great, ready to go?" He confirmed. "Let's." She responded, jumping off of the swing. Sunny grabbed her skateboard and they walked to the Twiste Treat that was 10 minutes away. She ordered a strawberry shake with extra whipped cream and he ordered a blueberry slush. They paid for their items before heading to the woods near Baseball Boy's house.
