How dare he try to kill me!I treated him and he tries to kill me! I can't believe this!
Cinderpelt was up in a sitting position, and licking her wounds subconsciously.
I helped him. Maybe he really doesn't have a heart. I hoped he had changed after the battle last moon.
"Cinderpelt? What happened?" Cinderpelt turned her head. "Er.. a rouge attacked me" she said. Brackenfur looked disbelievingly."A rouge?" He spat. "As if!" He sighed, and started dragging her by the scruff of her neck back to camp. "That hurts" Cinderpelt remarked, leaving hints of pain in her voice. Brackenfur ignored her. Cinderpelt swiped him gently. "Stop dragging me, your getting dirt in my wounds, and I could get infected, which will result in death." She told him once he had turned around to face her."Oh well, I'll get brightheart and thornclaw to help me carry you, stay here" As if I could go anywhere.
Brackenfur dashed off, leaving her to lick her scratches. She sighed, and got back into her half sitting half laying position. It was more comfortable than being dragged, at least.
Her intention was to find scourge when her wounds healed. Or at least when she could walk faster.
Scourge POV
Where was that pretty she-cat? "I'm sure I left her here" he murmured, standing by the bush that he had hid- no, had been planning vengeance in. Scourge looked down and saw a little blood, staining the leaves a dark crimson. He smiled. He was sure this was Cinderpelts blood.
"Better say her goodbyes, though she won't have time" scourge sneered to himself, as he followed the trail of blood.
As he was right, there, was Cinderpelt, licking her wounds, ears perked up. Mouse-dung! Scourge thought.
"She's over here!" Wait. What was that? Scourge saw 3 cats run out of the bushes.
"Cinderpelt! What happened?" Asked the white she with ginger patches. Brightheart. "She says rouges attacked her" that was brackenfur.
The other 3 cats looked disbelievingly at Cinderpelt. "Really a rouge?" Asked thornclaw. "As if a rouge would attack you like that!"
Scourge hissed. Not at the fact that he couldn't attack Cinderpelt, but because these warriors where... well, he just didn't like it.
How dare they! Scourge thought bitterly. Actually, he now regretted attacking her. But he could't attack these 4 fox-hearted mangy crow food eaters. No, there where four of them, against 1 of him. Even the almighty scourge couldn't beat them.
"Well, firestar will question her" brackenfur told the others. All of them smiled, then helped Cinderpelt up. "Can you walk?" Asked brightheart, concern etched across her face. "Yeah... I can" Cinderpelt replied. "Well, then you can help her, I'm pretty sure graystripe called me for a hunting patrol. "And with that thornclaw padded away.
That Mouse-brained crow food eating coward. Scourge thought bitterly.
Brightheart and brackenfur helped her back to camp, and scourge padded to a thorn bush that would provide shelter, scowling.
Are those Cinderpelts siblings? They have no right to treat her like that! I should teach them a lesson, not the healer. She's innocent. Those maggots are not. But not today, I can't fight them right now. They're most likely already back at camp. Even compared to how strong I am, I can't beat a whole clan of warriors!
He pushed cinerpelt and her siblings out of his mind, and instead moved his thoughts over to the thorn bush.
This will do as a temporary shelter. The bush was just big enough to fit him, and there were plenty of leafs to cover him if necessary. He got in slowly, making sure his wounds won't open again.
Once in, he padded around a bit, trying to get used to the bush, before walking out again.
I need to hunt. He thought. The sun was setting fast, and he hadn't eaten in days. He padded around the forest close to him, trying to find any prey. His ears perked up as he heard little footsteps and a squeak. Mouse!
Not wasting any time, scourge jumped up, and landed onto the mouse with a thump. He gobbled the mouse down, forgetting how good it tasted.
After he finished, he buried the bones deep into the forest floor. I one could see the bones. After that, he stared to think about the way he had hunted.
Am I that bad? I haven't hunted in a moon! Did I already forget my skills?
No, another side of his brain argued. You were just too hungry to care about techniques and tactics.
"That is true" He mumbled softly. And, decided it didn't really matter, he limped back to his thorny shelter.
Scourge stopped in front of it, and another thought wandered into his mind.
How will I sleep if there's no bed? There was no loss here, and he didn't want to go find any. The last of the daylight was fading; he didn't want to take the risk to find moss when he could become a foxes supper. Gathering nearby leaves in his mouth, he retreated into the thorn bush.
Once in, he dropped the leaves on the forest floor, and got down, arranging them into a circular shape. He got up, and looked down, satisfied. "I can go to sleep now" he thought, and curled up in a comfortable ball, and drifted right to sleep, letting everything on his mind dissolve, only leaving quiet snores and a peaceful rest.
