When we were home, Scott ran to the living room and talked to dad. I walked closer so I could hear. "Dad, he found us. Mom's gone. He killed her. Allie was there, she saw everything","What? But how? Where's Allie now??" My dad ask with a concern tone. " I dont know. I think we better tell her about our family past. At least we dont have to worry about her being killed tho it cost mom's life," Scott said with a sad tone. Minutes later dad called me. "Dad?" I said. "Ok, Allie. Why dont you tell me what you saw in the woods?" Dad ask, I hesitate at first because the memory was too horrible. "Umm, I was walking in the woods when I hear a scream. So I went to check it out, then I saw a burning-looking man hovering on top of mom. He said something about killing a girl? And mom was just begging him not to. I think he wanted something in return for it so mom said to take her instead and then...." I started to cry again " then the man just killed her....". Dad hugged me after that, " Hey, its okay sweetheart. Its not your fault" dad said, " But, I at least I should've done something and you dont even seem care mom's dead!" I yelled. He frowned and said " Sweetie, I'm terribly sad but I know things like this is gonna happen soon or later. I think I have some explaining to do. Shit." I sat next to Scott. Dad started telling stories about our family past, he said that the Thorne's used to control dark magic. They even prayed to Hecate, goddess of magic. He said that almost every girl that born in Thorne's family tend to have dark magic in her blood, dad said I was one of the strongest among other. At first I didn't believe what he said but then dad took my hands and said " Think of something that's very horrible and made you angry," so I tried.... a weird cold sensation flow from my hand and when I look at my hand, a black mist was surrounding it. I was shocked. " Do you believe me now?" Dad ask, I just nodded. "Well since you knew already, lots of dangerous people will hunt you so, let's do some training!".
