It was a well-known fact that Arthur Shelby could fight. Which is why it didn't come to a surprise when (Y/n) had heard that Arthur was fighting in the ring. Anyone who had even a fraction of intelligence would know to place their money on Arthur winning if he was fighting.
But once Arthur got lost in the thoughts that lead to his victory nothing could bring him back. Nothing but you. It was well-known that you were Arthur's safe haven. The one person he could feel like he could show all his emotions too, the one who would hold him when he cried and the one who would fight for him, even if he was wrong.
That's the only reason you would ever come to one of Arthurs fights. You hated seeing him like this. As if he was a wild animal. A weapon. He was a broken man trying to find his place in the world. Trying to find a reason to see every day through. And he did. You.
A young boy, no older than 21, was the victim of Arthur rath. Blood was spilt from both parties, a tooth lay in the far right corner, and there was definitely some broken bones. The young boy was strong, but Arthur was consistent. After what seemed like hours, men had to pry Arthur from the unconscious boy, but Arthur continued to try and fight whatever or whoever was in front of him. Until he heard your voice.
"Arthur. Arthur, darling, listen to me. Ignore the voice in your head. They're not real. I've got you. You're home now." You continued to say little nothings to him until you saw the devilish glint in his eyes fade. "I've got you, Arthur. You're home."
Arthur said nothing as he looked at you. Admiring your eyes, the way your lips moved, the way your skin looked soft, the way your hair fell and swayed with every movement. Finally moving to hug you, holding you tight, one arm wrapped around your waist pulling you close and the other buried in your hair, holding your head to his chest. He was scared to let go in case you realised that a monster like him never deserves an angel like you.
"I love you, angel."
