The boss's soft side.

Jackson grabbed a bat that was nearby to protect himself while Isabelle was still hiding behind him. They both realised it was coming from Jackson's room, Jackson being brave walked slowly as to not make a sound while placing the bat in an attack position in his hands. He was about to hit the shadow which he thought was a person faced from their back but Isabelle stopped him,"wait!!!, it's a cat!",shouted Isabelle. Soon they both heard a meow and the boss was relieved . "It looks like it came through that window and it's wounded.",said Isabelle. Isabelle reached out to pick it up. "What are you doing?" "What?!, I'm just trying help it, it must be in a lot of pain." "Don't tell me you are going to keep that thing.", said Jackson. "Well we can't just put it back outside while it is wounded." Isabelle picked up the cat. "Keep it away from me!, it's a wild cat." "The only thing that is wild is that mind of yours, don't worry kitty I will take care of you." "Hey,who is the owner of the house you or me?",asked Jackson. "Oh come on!,look at it, it's helpless.", Isabelle pleaded. "Ok fine but as long you keep it out of my sight it can stay but as soon as it's leg heals it's going out.", said Jackson. "Ok, deal." Isabelle walked off with the cat while Jackson went to the kitchen.

Ranger.
The next morning Isabelle woke up but didn't find the cat,"where are you?!" She looked everywhere including outside but couldn't find it until she heard a meow,it was coming from the boss's room. "Oh no, really? Out of all places you could have gone." Isabelle rushed to the boss's room to find the cat looking at the boss while Jackson was having panick attacks while sandwiching himself between the gab of the shelf's side and the wall corner. Isabelle bursted out of laughter, "you scared of that?!" "What?, no! and didn't I tell to keep it from my sight!" "It's a living thing too you know I can't control it's movement." Isabelle picked up the cat. "It's alright now you can come out.",said Isabelle. "You haven't actually touched a cat before, have you?",asked Isabelle. Jackson slowly came out while still looking scared. "It's not going to bite you, here hold it." The boss slowly reached out and took the cat from Isabelle's hand. "See,it's alright and he likes you so Mr.Jackson meet ranger the orange tabby cat, Ranger meet my boss.",Said Isabelle still trying not to chuckle. "Wait,you even gave him a name?",asked the boss sarcastically. "Well I can't call him "cat"." "You are going to get attached to it.",said Jackson. "While you two play I will go make breakfast since it's the weekend and I don't have work."

"Wow,you can really cook.",commented the boss. "Oh yes well since I had to take care of myself,I had this cook book which I misplaced somewhere, I memorized all the recipes from it." "Oh alright from now on you cook on the weekends." "I will have to leave Monday, remember?" "Oh, I forgot.",said Jackson in a sad face. "Unless you would like me to stay.",said Isabelle jokingly. "Jackson faked laugh it out, that is what he want but realized that it's not his business. Few hours later Isabelle came out with ranger in her hands,"where are you going?",asked Jackson. "Oh,uh I'm taking ranger to the vet, wanna come along?",asked Isabelle. "Sure, I have nothing better to do anyways." They both walked to the vet as it was only nearby and when as soon as they step into the vet all eyes were on Jackson who seems more interested in the place as though he never been to one before. They both went to the vet is office after a long wait. "Oh hi ranger,wow it seems you're leg is healing just a few more days and you will be fine. You must have taken care of him pretty well.",complemented the vet."thank you.",replied Isabelle with a smile while the boss was still looking around. After finishing from the vet Isabelle suggested for them to go to the pet store to buy some thing for ranger as they were shopping Isabelle noticed that Jackson buying way more things than her for ranger as if he once had owned a cat pet. "Wow,how do you know so much about a cat and what it likes?",asked Isabelle but the boss quickly changed the topic to something else as if he doesn't want to answer her or maybe even hiding something. Isabelle didn't want to make him angry so she just went  along with   it but she was still wondering why? he refused to answer.

   As the day went by Isabelle realized that the boss actually has a spot in his heart for animals but why was he scared of ranger at first? Is it something to do with his past? Or even his childhood? Isabelle kept thinking about these things as she watched the boss played with ranger.
